Hi ! In SC2 the players have headsets that cancel the noise from the public (even adding white noise to it I think?) to make sure the players do not hear anything else than the game sound. Probably in SC1 a similar concept is implemented.

Glad to become a patron for the first time :) and since I'm here, please explain to me one thing: Not entirely sure how the public's reaction is affecting the players themselves... In the case with the hidden factory - do the players hear the noise the public is making? In my mind it may turn out to be a tell when there is something hidden and you're about to discover as a player... Certainly it would help me turn my zergling towards the publics elevating reaction...
