12/6 Devlog -mini
Added 2019-12-05 21:51:25 +0000 UTCHi everyone! I'm just checking in to let you all know that as we are in the process of moving, I haven't had time to write up my usual epic ramble. It will probably be Sunday or maybe even Monday before I really have time.
A quick run down is:
-I doodled a sprite for With the Wind - my "non-existent" side project....and my hand has been hurting ever since. It's getting better slowly, but it hurts to grip things so I have been avoiding doing any art since then.
-I have been writing. Specifically, I started working on Caissa's first chapter and am at around 10,000 words for the entire route (including some scenes that will happen later on and that I just sort of wrote as they came to me. Total word count for Gilded Shadows is now 190,000.
Almost to 200k! =O
-When my hand was at its worst I was trying to do things that didn't require quite as much ....hand-effort. So I also worked on my Otome games survey from way back. There's less typing than writing game content, and a lot of the work is just organising graphs.
I'm still not done. LoL
I think I'm about 3/4 of the way through it, though. And it's 64 pages long. LoL
-Summary. I didn't get much done this week as I have been super busy with packing, plus I hurt my hand early in the week making drawing impossible and typing for long periods painful as well. I did, however, get some writing done.
And I worked on some other things that are useful, but not terribly related to game development, because they were easier on the hand. ;A;
So yeah, that's a quick run down of this week. I'll definitely try to do a longer devlog once we're moved into the new place and I have time to sit down and really write it out.
In the mean time, here is the Sprite That Broke My Hand in her causal outfit.
