That’s really interesting research πŸ‘ I was a proper tomboy to my Dads chagrin πŸ˜… I only wanted to plays boys games / toys etc. I try and provide a totally non sexist environment for my gorgeous kiddos, where they can do what ever they want, be who ever they want and feel confident and happy,πŸ˜ƒ Bears is hilarious and finds fun and games in everything we do πŸ™ŒπŸ€— thank for following along with all our antics πŸ€ͺπŸ‘

Once again Bear proves that boys will find a way to play with anything. Last week he was playing with fake nails, this week both of your boys were playing with a pallet jack. Later Bear was playing with a plastic hook (which was quite entertaining to watch). This reminded me of an experiment I read about around 20 years ago. The theory was that boys and girls only play with certain toys because of social programing. They placed several girls in a room full of boy's toys and several boys in a room with girl's toys. When they checked on the children later they found they were half right. When they entered the room with the girls the girls told the adults to be quiet because the trucks were sleeping. When they checked on the boys they were having a gun fight. I was only reading a summary of the experiment but in what I read I noticed the girls did call their "babies" trucks but the boys did not call their "guns" dolls. They may have demonstrated that boys become more intensely immersed into their fantasy.
