The Forest Portal

Today our heroes set foot into an old forest that lies 2 days away from the port city of Anbar.
From Anbar they saw a light errupting from various points spread across the planet, one was in the direction of this forest and they decided to investigate this.
The forest is old and dark and as soon as they set foot into the dense undergrowth they feel how something is wrong in this forest, it seems that all wildlife has fled and there is an eerie silence. In the middle of forest they find a trail, marked by ancient obelisks which are engraved with unknown runes. As they follow the trail they come to see a formation of 3 x3 obelisks in the middle of them stands an old tree, leafless and dead.
One of the obelisks is broken and lies on the ground, in the middle of the other 2 groups floats a black orb. Suddenly the black orbs burst into a whirlwind of fire and black energy, setting everything surrounding the obelisks on fire. A moment passes as a fiery line is drawn between the three groups, as two of them connect you can see how a small rift opening up, revealing a glimpse of another plane, a plane of fire, a plane of death.
It seems the portal cannot fully open without the third group of obelisks intact but even without it being fully open you see something stepping out of the rift....the old dead tree is burning....and everything else will burn too....
This map is desigend for a 20x30 Grid and as always the pdf comes with layers so you can turn off the grid if you want to!
