Character voices - Keep or discontinue?
Added 2023-05-25 07:02:15 +0000 UTCAs you know, Erotica has partial character voices for the three main characters : Riley, Heather and Lilly. I went out on a limb with this feature because I didn't know how it would be received or if it would be used. Since it's AI powered and not real voice actors, the results might not be as great as real people would deliver but it's stable and there's the certainty that I could keep using these voices for as long as I want. On the other hand, real voice actors cost much more and can be unpredictable.
The question is, do you use this feature and would you like to see it in future Episodes?
As you can imagine, it takes some time and energy to add the voices. If a large majority decides against the use of character voices then more time would be available for other things, such as rendering and story. However, if people like and use this feature then it will be continued in the next Episodes as well.
The point is that it wouldn't be in anyone's best interest to keep a feature that is not used or liked so I need to know what you guys think about it before I start working on Episode 2(story, sounds, voices, etc).
If the majority decides against voices they will also be removed from Episode 1.

I agree with both. I'm playing the game right now and I have to raise the volume to hear them properly, but the music (which is always excellent in your games) gets a bit loud. Either way. I would raise concerns if you say this adds work for you, but you are always very productive with on-time updates/releases, so I'm not worried one bit (just more hours for you guys). The game gives me good vibes so far!

2023-05-31 23:06:18 +0000 UTCHonestly I prefer reading to listening anyhow. It allows me to set my own pace for playing the game. Often I read much faster than the dialogue would be spoken.
