July 2025 -- What Should I Write Next?
Added 2025-07-15 19:57:32 +0000 UTCIt's mid-July!
So far, this month, I've posted:
The Masseuse, 24A (the first of four endings!)
Coming up in the second half of the month:
The Masseuse 24B, 24C, and 24D
The Thaumaturge, Chapter 15
A stand-alone story: a young man goes to a high-end clothing boutique to get fitted for a suit, but the woman helping him has...other plans.
A Hospital Stay, Part 8
Initially, I had said I would try to get both A Hospital Stay, Part 8 and the stand-alone story done, but the stand-alone might get bumped.
Having started working on both, now it's A Hospital Stay that might get bumped to early next month -- I'd rather take a little more time to get the finale right than rush it and get it wrong, if that's what's needed. We'll see.
I've hit a little writers block on a few projects -- not totally surprising, it was an extremely busy July -- but everything's moving basically on pace, just taking a little longer than it usual does.
For August, my plan is roughly as follows for Mondays:
The Thaumaturge, Chapter 16
Speedrunner 1.0
The Therapist, Part 10 (so you may want to re-read the backlog!)
One additional release TBD
This will mean the Masseuse is fully released and I have no particular plan for Thursdays in August right now; we'll see if that changes.
With that in mind, there's one open slot for you all to vote on. Options follow below -- I'm trying something different this month and not offering multiple stand-alone story options to see if that garners more interest.
Also, "write a second chapter of the Thaumaturge" is consistently quite highly ranked in these polls -- if that continues to be the case for another month or two, I'll probably just figure out how I default to doing two chapters of The Thaumaturge each month at a minimum, and offer you all a slate of voting options that includes other stuff.
As usual, thanks for reading. Couldn't -- and wouldn't -- do all this writing without you.
