May 2025 - What Should I Write Next?
Added 2025-05-16 13:00:11 +0000 UTCWell, this month's off to a raring start, but the things I'm most excited about haven't even actually landed yet!
So far this month, I've released:
The Thaumaturge, Chapter 11 (and its accompanying poll, which has now closed -- looks like Lauren needs to figure out how someone else might get Matt off.)
My plan for the rest of the month:
Dungeon Mistress: Session 5
The first chapter of Speedrunner! (I haven't decided if this series will have chapter titles or just numbers, yet.)
A "Dungeon Mistress Q&A" post reflecting on the series and where you can ask any questions or offer any feedback you have.
This does mean I won't get to A Hospital Stay, Part 7, as I had planned. Apologies. Admittedly, I thought it would be doable...but Dungeon Mistress: Session 5 has become a bit of a beast. It's clocking in at 13k words written so far, with still quite a bit of writing left to do, and is probably going to be closer to 20k words when all is said and done. As a result, there is some possibility its release will get delayed into the middle of next week. I'm really happy with it's shaping up, I want to take the time that is needed to make sure it's a tight, satisfying (!) conclusion to the series -- so don't panic if it's not up on Monday like my usual weekly posts are.
Anyway, on to June. My plan so far is:
A chapter of Thaumaturge
A chapter of Speedrunner
A chapter of Hospital Stay
There'll be a few other things in there too (certainly another batch of Masseuse remastered chapters!) but that leaves one more slot for a new release. Admittedly, I've got a week of beach vacation in there, and something may get bumped by a sponsored story to buy myself a little more lead time writing other stuff.
My priority for June is really going to be to focus on series, so that The Thaumaturge and Speedrunner are progressing, and my other series are getting closer to the end.
As a result, the poll options for June for the last writing slot are all series options -- that may not be the case every month this summer, but that's the plan for June.
The updated one sentence writeup of Speedrunner, for reference, since that first chapter isn't out yet: an erotic LitRPG, set in the near future, about an AI-driven reality sex competition that a videogame speedrunner does her best to win -- and that means speedrunning sexual encounters.
So, readers: what should I write next?
