Trinpari 8 - Sawmil Owners Villa [30x25]

Hi everyone... I hope that you are all doing well and coping with whatever life/social changes you are currently inflicted with. I just discovered that my next house-sit is canceled because the owners had to cancel their holiday... so not sure where I will be in May... 

Knowing that we are all doing more of our socialising at a distance at the moment, I made this map one where gatherings and entertainment can happen. I imagine the Sawmill Owner is quite gregarious, perhaps a bit of a social climber, and loves entertaining in the evenings... So there is plenty of sitting and dining areas. They even have a small coach house just big enough for a little 2 person trap..

This is the eighth Trinpari location map (see attached key-map) ... Next week will be the Sawmill on the river, then, for the week after that, I had to toss a coin between the barrow mound and the little camp site because they were tied... the little campsite won out.

Adventurer: This week you guys get the basic map at print and vtt resolution as usual... plus a roof overlay so you can create the roofed look on the right If you want to.   Adventurer map download links

Navigators: This week you guys also get the night version plus a creator kit. 

I have been puzzling out how to output a map that you can add assets to without it looking like they are sitting on top of all the shadows and kind of floating, also without making every asset into a night version as well... The current solution is a multi-layer kit... 

• Layer 1 is a base map that is rather flat and not meant to be used by itself 
• Layer 2 is all the assets you want to place, either using the object clusters I created for this map, or other assets from else-wear
• Layer 3 is a walls, doors and shadows overlay (Day & Night versions)
• Layer 4 is the roof (if you want it - Day & Night versions)

The Walls, doors & shadows layer is what will make it really work... it means that furniture assets will have shadows and light from the windows cast onto them, the asset drop shadows will not overlap the walls, and open doors will be above any rugs that are placed under them. There is also a night overlay which will make any assets placed dark too (except in the glow of any lights).  (PS - there are more asset/object groups than the sample set I have shown below)
