If your iffy on Fate than Magi is definitely the 1 for you it’s soo good and with a distinctly non Japanese setting or lore base it’s refreshing to see ..and it has 1 of the coolest if not the coolest non main characters in all of anime🤷🏾‍♂️

If your gonna watch Fate ..you can definitely skip the original fate stay/night anime lackluster animation(same studio that’s doing the current season of 7ds everyone’s dumping on) anyone saying you should do UBW b4 /Zero is crazy..the UBW anime(not movie) takes place 10 years after /Zero and was also released later as well.. watching UBW first like some are suggesting would completely spoil the events of /Zero ...on a side note the if you end up liking the Fate concept there’s a bunch of other alternate timeline/universe Fate series’ that are really good

overlord is fairly recent, the latest season finished last year but it has a real strong fanbase and is a super interesting story from the perspective of villians

I would recommend some good ones from 2019 would be That time I got reincarnated as a slime 24 ep, or the promise neverland which is 12 ep! Or a good two season anime is SERAPH OF THE END!! I recommend Re:ZERO since it has a big fanbase, a really interesting story imo, and season 2 starts in April so it will be a ongoing series.

I would recommended for you start assassination classroom or rezero. They are not shounen per say but they have a lot of action so I think you will like them plus they are both on Netflix

Ik you want current anime, but I can’t recommend Fate/Zero enough. It’s animated by the same studio that did Demon Slayer so it looks 🔥. There are a lot of Fate purists who are really picky about how to watch the series, but imo it really doesn’t matter since every series spoils the others in some way. If you do start Fate/Zero, just keep in mind that ep 1 is a HUGE information dump but it’s all necessary. Once you get through that, the series really takes off. If you do want more current shows, I’d recommend The Promised Neverland and Psycho Pass,

I think you should watch s3 regardless of the animation. Watch it just to learn more about the story mainly of meliodas and the rest. I just act as if the animation is the same as s1 and s2

Fate is too long and confusing, Kabaneri of the Iron fortress is an underrated and well animated series that dose not get enough hype. It’s only one season at the moment and based on your other reactions, I think you will really enjoy it.

If I were you I wouldn't watch s3, its better to stick to the manga and hope that one day s3 gets the fma treatment and gets remade. Also i wouldn't recommend anyone to start watching fate in 2020 since trying to decide where to start is the equivalent of trying to solve a rubik's cube blindfolded and with no hands. But if you really wanna start watching fate I would start with fate zero because it spoils less the other seasons and in my opinion its the only one that actually explains the basics of the series without giving you mindfck
