pinocchio ch20, pencils only (no text)

I feel like I got a fire under my ass slightly when I read about Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio and how he picked "Over the Garden Wall" Patrick McHale to write it . I know everyone has done and will do pinocchio adaptations and that's not new, but reading that made me go "oh fuck" and I gotta quit laying down on this boy. We're halfway done for god's sake.

Not to knock Del Toro or McHale, I loved "over the garden wall" and Del Toro is a kind of director who "gets it" with his work in a way that's hard to explain otherwise. Whatever they make, it'll be fantastic.

I'm more mad at myself. I let Pinocchio go by the wayside so I could do HiaGB instead. I should have finished my plate first. Gotta get Pinocchio out of the way. Shoulda woulda coulda, here we are now.

I hope, in 2017, I can stoke the flames inside me and finish this and give HiaGB and BACK the attention they deserve and finish them as well, tho both of those aren't going to be ending for at least a year (maybe more for BACK).

That's all. Feel bad, channel it into not feeling bad. That's what I used to do as a kid with my comics. I hope you are feeling well and okay given all that's going on. I love you and worry for us all and am excited to see what we can do standing up to this shit coming at us.

Okay I love you, bye.

yeah, everyone has a different take on an idea sure. it's just that i respect both of those boys so much that I know theirs is gonna be crazy good and I feel a big need to finish my own weird version of it before we might get over saturated with it. I heard theres another one by another team at work too? Pinocchio boy you struck gold

their pinocchio will not be your pinocchio - however, I'm a fan of taking inspiration and fuel for your creative drive wherever you can find it. and your pinocchio is a pretty particularly inspired work, I really appreciate your take on it.
