Yeah, the *only* reason James gives the two detectives a chance here is because they were both openly uncomfortable with what was going on once they realized the umbral were people. That doesn’t really excuse much, since it’s the kind of thing that should take maybe six seconds to verify, but at least they aren’t turning the evil dial up to eleven.

2025-09-17 19:28:25 +0000 UTCNot sure it's been mentioned before but the Saskatoon police have been pretty bad in the near past. Just google Saskatoon freeze killings or "starlight tours" where they would drive indigenous to city outskirts and dump them in the dead of winter.
