Floki payed Askeladd to kill Thors, for personal reasons as speculated by Askeladd. So he did kickoff Thorfinns plot, but hasnโt had any story agency since. The first episode fight is shows Thors and Thorkell. They mention Floki by name but we donโt see him. We have seen Floki fight tho, because he crossed swords with Askeladd before Canute stabbed him.
