I love how many tricks Saint Germain pulls out in this episode's fight scene. She's got all her crazy elemental bullets, but she's also got shoulder-mounted machine guns, guns on the bottom of her feet, and of course the blade on her pistol. This fight's tons of fun solely because she reaches deeper into her powerset than we've seen so far. Just in time for her to swap sides and get an incredibly hype team-up. Saint Germain is a fan favorite for good reason, her motivation is very understandable, her power set is really fun when she finally starts fighting seriously, and her relationship with Hibiki is pretty interesting. Hibiki has a history of talking down villains, but Saint Germain's relationship with her feels far more mutual than normal. There's a degree of understanding between the two that I feel is a bit deeper than usual, even if Hibiki hasn't fully converted her like other villains. I also appreciate that this episode does show the superb song's recoil since it's been so long since we last saw it. It's a nice reminder that it's still dangerous, even if the characters are growing stronger.
