I know youβre far past this point right now but I just became a Patron today and I want to clarify something you seemed to be confused about in this episode. Kashiung is not a part of ORB. You misread/misheard the line of dialogue about Kashiung in episode 1. They did not say that ZAFT attacked Kashiung which is their homeland, they specifically said that Kashiung βisnβt that far away, will the homeland be all right,β and that βalthough theyβre close, weβre a neutral entity.β You must have misread the scene and assumed that Kashiung was part of ORB but it never was or ever has been. So when ZAFT attacked Kashiung, they were not attacking ORB, they were attacking a nation of the Earth Federation and they were worried because Kashiung, just happens to be near ORB. Donβt have much to say about the other arguments cause I kind of agree that some of the stuff with ORB being neutral is confusing and doesnβt make complete sense given what weβve seen at the time of this specific episode and that since ZAFT attacked Heliopolis your point still stands.
