29th Of October Update (1.2)

Hey everyone, and welcome to new patrons! Today I want to give a brief update and have a few things to discuss on the agenda today!

Live streaming Success!:

 In my last post I discussed how I wanted to set up streaming in the basement's living room so we could do our Ring Fit training. This goal has been accomplished. Our first stream, we had 12 new followers & an average of 19 people watching! Our second stream, we had 2 new subscriptions and 11 average viewers. We're going to attempt to consistently stream every other day. The next big game we're going to stream is going to be Pokemon in November!

Episode Discussions: 

The RWBY Episode discussions are going to start this weekend. They are exclusive Discord calls where we will rewatch and discuss the episodes together! I know that it's the end of the month and people don't want to be double charged, but remember to upgrade your pledges if you want to discuss directly with me (and Hunter) in a Voice Call!

I do want to talk about this a little though and address some people's concerns. Any rewards that rely on "community" can be a bit difficult. For example, a Community Discord Server or a "group call". What can be difficult is that a paradox is created:

People don't want to join the tier yet because there are only 1 or 2 people and there isn't a "group" yet to discuss with - but there can't be a group yet to discuss with, if people don't join the tier. With a Discord server, what's the point of joining an exclusive server if there's no one else in it but you - but there will never be anyone else in it if everyone thinks that way. 

No matter how many people we have, the talks are still going to be fun. I am, of course, still going to be there and I hope the draw for most people will first and foremost, be being able to talk to me about the episode directly. Especially since as of recent, especially with the views we've been getting for videos on other shows, I haven't been able to reply to comments anymore. (Miraculous Ladybug for example, our finale reaction has over 60,000 views. I just can't reply to all the comments anymore). Basically, The Community Discussions are going to be a lot of people's only way to pick my brain, other then watching our videos and if I talk in the RWBY Text chat. Anyway, I just did want to address it and that I see the obvious paradoxical issue but I do think people should take the plunge and join, even if it's just you and me XD

November:

November is going to be extremely busy for me. I have a report due this Friday, 2 projects due the same day Nov 11, a video presentation Nov 15, an essay worth 50% of my mark on November 19, a final written assignment due on the 25th and I need to make and submit my video game for November 25th. Basically I'm averaging 1.5 major projects a week. Some of these are group assignments, but most of them aren't, and to be honest the group assignments can sometimes be worse then the regular ones. This is also my first year working and going to school, and I only get one shift a week but it's still a lot on top of everything else. 

What's worst is that Pokemon comes out on the 15th, before a lot of my major assignments are finished. So I'm probably going to have to mostly ignore it depending on how everything goes. Obviously I'm still a human and need to take breaks, but I can't stream the game how I want to until everything is finished.

What does this mean?:

Hunter and I can't pre-record anything. And any video that is going to take a long script or a lot of work is going to have to wait. That's why I've been rushing the villain analysis videos, because there will literally be no time for them after this week. 

Code Geass episodes for November need to be recorded by this week or else they will not get done, and the final Avatar video needs to be recorded. I am sure we can get this done this week, but the pressure of the end of the semester is in me for sure.

Hunter and I won't really be pre-recording anything during RWBY anyway, but basically my plan is for us just to record 1 or 2 days a week. All my other days need to be me working on school work, so we basically have Saturday and Sunday to record everything we have to for MHA, Dr Stone, and RWBY.

Please be patient. Hunter and I are not currently making enough to cover our channel costs, never mind for us both to be able to flunk out of school XD

School will always come first, and even though RWBY is really important to us, we can only do as much as we're able to. Like I said, this is one of my hardest semesters in recent memory because these courses focus more on projects rather then tests, and projects are way more time consuming then taking a 3 hour test and being done with it. I'll make sure to keep everyone updated on what's going on!
