Thumbnail Revitalization

Hey everyone! Today I decided to use part of the day to improve my thumbnail making. In school I have taken graphic design, but YouTube has a specific “check list” for thumbnails in a sense. I turned to some of my favorite creators for some inspiration
Arnold and I had a little thumbnail lesson improving the brightness and saturation on some of the RWBY screenshots. At first I wanted a blue border to fit my branding, but when we tried it I realized it just didn’t look that great. The Internet (and Arnold), basically recommend green, yellow, red, and white. And in a lot of YouTube thumbnails you can see this when it comes to the text and the borders.
I really liked the little extension that Leeandlie has, and I decided to put my Calxiyn chibi there to keep the branding but not sacrificing the colors YouTube viewers are attractive to.
Anyway, the pictures above were the end result! I put a bit of a comparison between the originals and the improvements. I’m really happy with how these look!
