Plans For May!

Good day everyone! I wanted to connect with all of you and share my plans for the month of May. 

The past few weeks have been crazy. We had exams, I got into my dream school and I had a LOT of paper work to do for it. The Ozcars is also going to throw May off slightly, but I imagine that this month we will finally get back on track.

These are my plans for May:

30,000 subscriber Q&A:

Considering we're almost at 35,000 subscribers... suffice to say I should probably get to it XD I still have the questions from when I asked a month ago, so don't worry!

RWBY:

- RWBY Justice League

We are going to continue our weekly reaction and discussions of the comic issues. These will be released to Patrons early of course. We will get back to recording these after the Ozcars

- RWBY Theories and Discussions

Hunter and I have a few ideas for discussions and theories that we did not get to do when RWBY finished. These include: In Defense of Penny's Death, Neo Redemption Arc, Penny Trans Coded Discussion, and Why It Had To Be Jaune. These will be "scripted" (some will need a long script, some just some notes) after the Ozcars.

- RWBY Grimm Eclipse on The Switch!

Hunter and I will be playing Grimm Eclipse TOGETHER for the first time, since couch co-op has been introduced, and we will be going down memory lane, as that's how we got our start. I imagine some kind of more "funny" gameplay video, and probably a review of how it plays on the Switch. Also a review of all the new costumes or something along those lines.

Between Justice League and these videos, we will have more than enough RWBY content going on in May.

Miraculous Ladybug:

I have four Miraculous Ladybug theories that I need to "script". Since Miraculous is airing out of order, hopefully these theories will be able to get out ASAP so the theories aren't proven wrong or right. Miraculous is having a very strange release schedule lately, which is why I haven't started Legend of Korra yet. I'm hearing Miraculous may stop airing until September... but I guess we'll see! 

Barbie:

I would like to resume my Barbie video Essays soon, but that's going to have to wait until the Ozcars are over. Instead what I'd like to do is do a reaction (with Hunter) to the Barbie video games. I don't know if you guys have seen, but Barbie movie reactions have been pretty popular lately. The fandom is getting a resurgence and I think looking at the video games would be something really unique (and copyright friendly). I also am interested in doing a "relaxation" stream actually playing the game without Hunter poking fun at it. I'll let you guys know how that's going.

Anime:

Shadows House is a HARD continue for me. You'd have to pry this show from my cold, dead hands haha. I LOVE THE SHOW. My Hero Academia however, I'm a litttttttle bit lukewarm on right now. But I'm going to see how the videos do now that I'm back on schedule so to speak (that is to say, maybe the videos have been doing poorly because of my own lateness, so I'll see).

I would like to check out ODDTAXI and To Your Eternity, ODDTAXI moreso. I think we could do ODDTAXI, My Hero Academia and Shadows House, and that would be my maximum capacity, along with Miraculous. Like I said, I'm thinking about doing something about MHA because I'm not feeling as passionate about it, and it's not getting a lot of views either. 

Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss:

I'd like to capitalize on the attention our Helluva Boss reactions get, but I'm not sure what we'll do yet. Hunter and I have ideas, and I'll let you guys know when we get there. So you can expect at least one attempt at extra Helluva Boss content, such as a character ranking video or some such thing.

Podcast:

As you may know, Arnold is interested in doing a Podcast on his channel called the Crow's Nest. The issue is, Arnold has rejected a good 70% of my topic ideas XD I've decided the best way to handle this would be to start my own Podcast with Hunter. This would be twice a month. 

I think that this would be good because I feel like, especially lately, some people have a very one-sided view of us. I think patrons and people who have watched us a long time just "know better" so to speak, but maybe a more down-to-earth podcast could help people get to know us more and show a side of us people don't really get to see. That side could than be integrated into the concept of "us" people have in their heads.

For example, something I've noticed is people saying, in response to if I post about how I'm upset about something that I'm "fake happy" because I've posted something I'm sad about or "where did the fake happy go?". Obviously I know for most people it's just common sense to know that Hunter and I are human beings who... yes... are not happy when we are upset (????? it's baffling how people think I MUST be faking being happy or positive if I show any instance where I don't feel as such).

But for a lot of young people today, I don't think they're being purposefully obtuse, they're just maybe... naive? I'm not sure how to explain it. Either way, I'd like to do something where we aren't like, yelling and screaming but maybe just talking to you guys in a sense.

I think that this is in the realm of my abilities, though I'm bursting with ideas for Disney video essays and things like that, I also know I need to pace myself and only make promises I can keep.

So in short:

Weekly RWBY, Miraculous*, and Shadows House is most likely, starting not this first May week (because of the Ozcars recording), but the week after. I'll see about My Hero Academia and if I want to replace it with ODDTAXI or Korra. We'd like to do one Helluva Boss, Barbie and Podcast related video.
