That's weird though, is, in the little memory remaining in Danya, Vanessa is indeed in a girl body, not a boy (thinking out-loud here, sorry about that)

Somewhere along the way those two got together, Akko got the blunt end of the stick and has been salty about it ever since. She probably helped with the memory wipe because deep down she still loved Danya herself. She's still going to be petty though.
