I believe their beef was solely with the fact that it was allegedly a NC scene, and not with anything related to sexuality. As to why - your guess is as good as mine. Patreon community guidelines explicitly state that "animated or illustrated works (e.g. cartoons, comic strips, graphic novels) that depict nudity in sexual contexts [are permitted] as long as they comply with Patreonβs other guidelines". There is, however, an additional rule saying that "'Consensual non-consent' works, in which participants or characters engage in simulated non-consensual encounters, are not permitted" - so perhaps whoever was in charge of moderating didn't really understand the concept of CNC (which, admittedly, could be a bit arcane to an outsider) - and applied the rule in error.
