This is shaping up to be the first normal work week that I've had in a while and I've really been looking forward to it. I'm mostly recovered from my cold/flu (not covid) just waiting for my ears to pop. I got a couple days of rest and wrote some pretty fun stuff.

I may need to start doing illustrated short stories since I write so much faster than I draw. I definitely prefer comics, but if there's any interest, I might give that a try.

This week, I'm finishing up a commission (my first anthropomorphic drawing! spoiler above). I have another commission I just sent off for final approval. I haven't heard back yet, but I figured I'd post it here later this week either way, along with the time lapse video (tentacle warning). ;)

I had to cancel last weeks Art Stream due to illness, but I'm back this week with some interesting experiences to share and weird ideas to sketch.

The next two pages of BLACK LABEL are also on my to do list but as I mentioned before, the commission is my priority. I'll still be using them as my warm up so there's a pretty good chance that there will be two pages next week (if I can keep the house from collapsing, of course).

My attempts to keep house work relegated to the weekend have proven to be a great folly on my part. This house has personality and does not like sticking to anyone's schedule, but my main concern right now are that cats. Tatsu and Riley have been troopers, closed up in the library and bathroom as we do everything we can to wipe out the fleas in this house. I was feeling really confident this morning. I'd just swept and vacuumed. hadn't seen a flea in days. Sat down at my desk to start working and the felt something bite into the back of my wrist. Another flea. Suckers must be getting desperate attacking me in broad daylight like that.
