Thank you for this amazing comic. Your style, storytelling and characters were just... something I can't describe with words. I enjoyed pretty much every moment and loved the emotions it brought to me and everyone else I think, judging from how people commented. White Tail is simply one of the all time favourite comics I've ever read and I don't think that many comics will reach up to its level. Even though I think the ending could've been a slightly bit longer, it still was a satisfying one. Thank you so much, I'm more than happy that I stumbled upon this comic. I definitely will keep an eye on you and your stuff on dA! <3

I usually don’t comment on things, but I feel as though I should say thank you for creating this comic! It had a unique idea, an interesting universe, lighthearted and dark moments, and a good cast of characters. The ending did seem a bit rushed, but at least it was resolved fairly nicely. However, one thing I thought was going to happen was a reunion/confrontation with Plucky’s old herd, as we saw them in the city. It would have been interesting to see how they would have reacted to her being almost entirely Bad by that point, showing regret for abandoning her, or still feeling as though they were justified in leaving her, etc. Looking at the final page, though, it seems as if she has rejoined them, so that’s good! Also, I’m choosing to believe that the fluffy silhouette is Red, antlerless after the fall, and no one can tell me otherwise lol. Speaking of Red, I have a question: do creatures like him and Kale- who have been touched by the Bad but aren’t completely covered- still have the mark spread over them, now that the Crystal Queen is dead? Or do their markings stay the way they were when the Queen was killed? If it does still spread, Red will need a name change, poor fellow. :( In addition, you mentioned in a comment that the Bad don’t age, does this apply to half-Bad organisms as well? Do they need to sleep and eat, too? Anyway, it would be great to see this universe return one day, but it’s okay if you don’t wish to make a sequel to this (perhaps a prequel? :3). Regardless, I can’t wait to see what your next project is! Congrats on completing the comic. :)

oh my gosh, I can't believe it's done TT0TT This was hell of an ending !! Everything in this story is just awesome. The universe, the idea, the treatment, the characters !! <33 I stumbbled upon it randomly and I am not disappointed at all you did such an amazing work from start to finish ! and I can't wait to see your next project ! congratulations on reaching the end !

What a rush! I'm so glad my predictions came out wrong. I do get the feeling that Red didn't make it, honestly, but I did read through your responses and I like how you left many points of the story up for the reader's interpretation. Hopefully the webcomic I am beginning to work on will be as successful as yours has been. As for your next project, do we have a projected start time, or will you be making an announcement post with all the details at a later time?

Anyhow holy crap, what a ride this comic has been. I wasn't active on here to voice my appreciation and support for several months and I'm sorry about that, but I read each panel that came to my email and I was on edge for the entire buildup to the climax. Congrats on finishing your first-ever comic series, and I'm so excited to see what you do next -- after a well deserved break of course!

Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the story. I left the ending open for interpretation intentionally. It is implied in that last page that Plucky is alive, however Red may or may not have made it. He had only just become Bad (he was still bleeding red blood), so the odds of him surviving the fall were slimmer than Plucky. And yes, the Bad all have the same benefits that come from being Bad, only now they have their consciousness back. I never established whether or not they were immortal, but considering how long ago this disease started and the fact that all the Bad are still around, it can be assume that they don’t age. They don’t need to eat or sleep, and they don’t feel pain. Also Bad humans can understand animals and vice versa. I vaguely considered making a sequel that would go over how this impacts their society. How nonBad humans might be seen as inferior to those who are Bad. How Bad animals might start living more sophisticated lives alongside Bad humans. But honestly, I would rather move on to something completely new. Maybe someday, though…

Thank you for the journey, Sleepy, it was so nice to follow this comic, it was dear to me and I will miss it extremely. Plucky was such a nice mainchar, it doesnt happen that often that I like one in comics, but you did so well with her, she clearly wasn't perfect, no Mary Sue or something, she was good! Loved the theme of the comic too, somewhat original in that way. Also your characters were nice. I liked the parts with them just having fun, it had a good balance with good and bad parts, serious stuff and fun stuff alike. Good job on that! Last but not least, I do have some question, if you don't mind: Are Plucky and Red alive, Together still? I know there is the green hoof thing on the last page, but still not sure. Are the bad ones still immortal and do not to eat/sleep?

I'll admit that I also think the ending is a bit rushed. It was the ending I had planned very early on and right now I'm not suuuuper satisfied with it. But I couldn't think of any way to change it. Anyway, thank you so much for your kind words! You're also a huge inspiration to me so the feeling's mutual! XD But I have to say don't feel bad if you want to cancel your support because odds are my next comic will be a fancomic and there's a good chance you won't be interested in it. XD

Plucky was clearly alive (very last panel, her reflection has the glowing hoof). IDK about Red unless maybe he's the fluffy silhouette behind her? But where's his antler and why's he the same size as her and where's the last deer from her original herd (who I assume she's back with)?

Wow! It's finished! What a nice ending! The bad animals have their sanity back and aren't poisonous anymore! So it's a happy end, but whats with Red and Plucky?! Are they dead? Please tell me theyre not dead!!

HOOOOLY CRAP THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A WILD AND EXCITING RIDE. It does feel a bit rushed in the end there but thats expected of a climax and might just be a result of seeing the end all at once like this. It feels so amazing to see it wrapped up, I can't imagine what it feels like for you! I'm so happy to have seen this comic made from beginning to end! You're a big idol for me, we started our comics around the same time and you saw White Tail through til the end, its inspiring me to push harder to finish my own comic! ;D I'm gonna stay a Patron, because I'm super excited for whatever you have in store next, especially given how incredible White Tail was. Congratulations on the end of an incredible story!!! ;v;
