⚠️hxh spoilers⚠️ Okay I know he isn’t very popular but... I’m begging for shalnark 🛐 when I first watched hxh shal stuck out to me, but when I found out I had fallen for another bg character practically in the troop it kinda hurt my heart since I knew he wouldn’t have a spotlight. Him in the York new city arc was so nice to see, cause even tho he’s painted as an emotionless kid, he actually cared for his chosen family, and later chooses to fight along side them for their home in the chimera ant arc. He has a wonderful arc and honestly reminds me of Jungkook with his happy go lucky personality and big round eyes and false innocentcy. When I read the manga I truly cried cause it was just such a sad ending for him, and he deserves so much more

When we jump into the Yorknew City arc and we see this big ol' beefy man, people don’t usually expect them to be soft and honestly, minus everything that happens, he can be cute and a bit of a sweetie, maybe once he really was before everything, but just like how he kisses Shalnarks cheek and is playful, how can I not love him! Plus his fight with Kurapika is pretty rad! Uvo is still one of my fave bbies out of the Phantom Troupe and I think he deserves to be pinned ⭐️ Also for a two person pin I would totally nominate Uvo and Shalnark, in particular the cheek kiss scene for fun 💙🖤 I think they'd be a good duo pin anyway regardless lol

I would like to recommend wing! Wing has inspired gon and killua to learn nen and grow in so many ways. He was essential to their character development and deserves respect and recognition. Gon and killua would have never gotten through the heavens arena without him. Let alone gon would have never have been able to put up a good fight against hisoka without wing teaching him

Please pick wing from hxh because he's the catalyst for gon and killua to unlock their new abilities. He motivates me to be become a better version of myself.

✨‼️HxH SPOILERS AHEAD‼️✨ okie so for my character suggestion for pin A I definitely want to put colt down from the chimera ant arc... melody was a very close second but I’m putting down colt 🥺. We are introduced to colt when he is a child and he is in the village living with his mom and and little sister... he gets taken by the other ants and becomes an ant himself, essentially one of the leaders and his sister dies. Throughout the arc we given some glimpses into the mother’s life as to how she is doing thinking that her children are dead... now going back to Colt, he may seem minor but we see some major development with him as he gains his feelings and memories back slowly, when the ant queen dies he completely sees how corrupt this whole system with the ants were, he 1) keeps his mothers dying wish and fulfills it and he takes care of the baby ant that comes from her which ends up being kite!!! A reincarnation of kite!!!! He supports the child and helps raise essentially kite all over again, he also not only helps the hunter association and everyone else with crucial information to help them defeat the ants and he betrays his own kind... we also just have a touching moment with him and his real mom in which they finally reunite and she knows In her heart that that is her son and she loves him ant or no ant... colt before he was an ant and during his time as an ant is a warm, protecting, and helpful child/creature. He should definitely be considered because he helps raise kite, bridges the gap between the ants and the association and helps with the mission overall... and his character gives us a glimpse into the effects of something as horrifying as this on humans (his real mom and what she goes through while he is away)

I am absolutely dying for a pin of Colt and baby Kite! Colt and Kite were my favorite new characters in the Chimera Ant arc and the way their stories intertwined was just so perfect. The fact that Colt was willing to deny his own nature as an ant in hopes of saving the queen and how she now lives on through Kite reincarnate had me bawling. Although Meruem was able to become more human because of Komugi, Colt always had his humanity. He spared children and weak humans and was loyal to the queen even after Meruem was born. Meanwhile, Kite was also a kind and self-sacrificing character: he literally gave his life to save Gon and Killua even though they shouldn't have joined him in the first place. Honestly I'm a big sucker for unlikely parallels and I really love the way their characters arcs are so similar. Although they both are cold initially, it is clearly shown that they are extremely earnest and loving characters. They both sacrificed so much and deserved the second chances they got. Even though the situation is not ideal, the fact that they are getting to live their lives is probably one of the happiest endings so far in HXH. These two are extremely underrated and deserving of a beautiful pin.

Rewriting this comment because my previous one disappeared for some reason ☹ I would really like to see a Kastro pin! I’ve never seen him pinned before and I feel like it would be really cool to do a pin with either him and his mirror double (one with battle damage and one without, representing his downfall in his fight against Hisoka) or one with him and Hisoka together, representing their ongoing rivalry. The Kastro vs Hisoka fight was actually my favourite from the Heaven’s Arena arc, but often gets overshadowed by the Hisoka vs Gon fight, which I think is a shame. The fight is also very instrumental in Gon and Killua’s development of their understanding of nen and in them learning gyo, as Wing uses it as an example. It also serves as a warning of the dangers of adopting a technique far outside your nen specialisation. Plus, Kastro is a cute anime boy, and I want Yvette to have more opportunities to draw cute anime boys :P

Razor deserves to be pinned because he is a beefy hunk of man-meat with a cool Nen ability, and even if you don't like drawing hot bara daddies he deserves his time to shine!!! And he was only in one arc but he made he Greed Island arc very special to me <3 I'll never look at dodgeball the same again

🎶Melody 🎶 Phantom Troupe arc I believe this gem of a human finally deserves her time in the spotlight of the Akuma Press pin lineup. Let’s start with her absolutely astounding back story. A once outwardly beautiful woman got drunk one night and it destroyed the rest of her life. She lost her outward beauty, lost a friend, and vowed to destroy the thing which caused this so that it would never strike down someone else in the same way. Yet after all of this, she remains to me the most kind hearted soul in the hxh universe, taking Kurapika under her wing to calm him and relate to him on the feelings of loss and tragedy. Rarely dose a person who has gone through so much in anime remain entirety selfless. She played a large part in calming Kurapika in the phantom troupe arc, keeping him from getting killed and acting rash. Think about it. She even receives torment from fans based on her looks alone.. I would love to see her get the treatment she deserves. My pin idea is a bust style (like bungee hisoka) with her playing an instrument and music notes and butterflies surrounding her as she calms our souls with her selfless love and beautiful heart. Characters shouldn’t be dismissed for being outwardly different. Differences should be embraced. Beauty is not just on the outside.

I would love to see zeno and silva/netero as a duo because of the chimera ant arc and phantom troupe arc! Like they were so badass and always deliver what they were suppose to fulfill. Not to mention the dragon rain falling from the sky and the slow motion scene in the chimera ant arc?? CHEF'S KISS i just find the zoldyck family so badass in general (maybe a zoldyck family portrait with their butlers in the future👀) Also because netero and zeno has such a good chemistry? Like they seem like good old bestfriends lol sosksisj while silva and zeno just seem like the power father and son duo and they actually seem like good fathers *also wing is such an underrated character as well but i can only choose one out of those you've never pinned ¡_¡ *

The phantom troupe arc was :chefskiss:! The one character that stuck out to me the most was for sure Melody. Melody played an essential role in helping Kurapika throughout the entire arc. *Spoiler* She calmed Kurapikas heart beat before he went and had himself killed by the phantom troupe. Melody also has the brief backstory of her and her friend getting a hold of the “The Sonata of Darkness”. They were drunk and played the melody. Her friend died whilst she was deformed. From that day on, she vowed to find the piece and destroy it before any one had the chance to play it again. She is constantly seeking to help others. Not only that she is trying to protect people from ever being able to play that melody again in the future. I know she may not be the best looking character to pin, but I feel she played a crucial role in the arch and helping Kurapika.

I feel like we have to get Melody from Phantom Troupe Arc. *SPOILERS maybe, idk we're all hxh stans here* I hope togashi one day provides a side story or focus on melody restoring herself back to her old appearance/form.

I would love to see a Silva pin because when Killua went home and was feeling unsure of himself and his friendship with Gon, Silva was the one to inspire him and told him to never betray his friends. This opened my eyes to Silva being a positive role model because, despite his intimidating look, his heart is in the right place.

Ponzu during the hxh exam! It was so exciting to see her character! There was like no girl characters during that arc and it was so nice to see how far she got? She 100% could have gone all the way if she didn’t go into the cave. It was so so interesting to see her powers and what she can do, I really want to see more pins of her since there’s uh like non 😅

Alluka Zoldyck! So rarely do we see trans girls in anime, and if we do they are treated poorly. I love how protective Killua is of her and how fights against her being misgendered. She still shows compassion even after dealing with abuse and sharing her body with a dangerous entity. My favorite moment of her's is in the 13th Hunter Chairman Election when she has to grapple with whether to heal Gon at risk of becoming Nanika. I know you've done one of Nanika but I think the two are distinct enough that Alluka is her own person and identity.

Cheadle Yorkshire would be great to see. She played a pretty prominent role in the chairman arc and her hatred for Pariston is on par with ours. She really did not want to deal with all the extra BS the elections were causing. We are once again shown that Ging is a POS through and through during the election. Cheadle is basically the main character of this arc since a good portion is told through her POV. Just in general she had to deal with so much cause of Paris and Ging, UGH. She is a disease hunter as well and that is hella badass. Plus, she recruited best boys Leorio and Kurapika into the zodias cause real recognize real. 👏👏👏

I nominate Knov! He was essential to their survival during the Chimera Ant arc. He helped Morel kill the lower level ants. He risked his life to infiltrate the palace alone in order to place the portals that would allow the others to get into Meruem’s palace. From that he suffers a severe mental breakdown after encountering Pouf’s En, which frightens him not because he could die, but because he knows if he was tortured he’d put the plan in jeopardy. That shows just how selfless he is because he’s not worried for his own life, but what would happen to the others if he were to get caught. In spite of the breakdown he still maintains hide and seek and volunteers to keep tabs on the guards and takes the team to his portals inside the palace. When Knuckle becomes injured he pushes past his fear to go into the palace and rescue him, and even takes him to a separate room that has surgeons and medical equipment so he can be immediately treated. Later on he does the same for Morel and Gon, who is in an even worse state than the others, even though he said he wouldn’t be able to go back a second time. He’s so compassionate and worried for the others he asks about Palm to make sure she’s ok when she was infiltrating the palace because she’s his student. With Gon he’s so determined to help that he uses hide and seek to bring all of the necessary people and equipment to the hospital. He even declares that he will rebuild the hospital from the ground up if he has to. Knov’s mental fortitude is incomparable. He faces his greatest fear, suffers both physically and mentally, and still musters enough strength to help his friends. Later on he’s healed enough to still continue as a hunter and even makes it to the top 20 of the chairman election before he’s eliminated. He and Knuckle were my fave new characters from the arc and I was so sad to see what happened to him. Also, as far as I know there’s only one pin of Knov so I’d love for you, the queen of hxh pins, to make a second pin. Plus I just have a thing for the strong, serious salaryman type in anime (other examples would be Nighteye and Nanami from MHA and JJK lol).

I think a Zeno Pin or a Zeno/Silva duo pin would be so cool! I haven't seen many pins for him but I think with dragon imagery he'd look great. When he and Silva fought Chrollo in Yorknew Arc it was a very interesting fight that made me really like his usage of nen. I also think there's a lot that can be done with that in terms of art. It was probably one of my favorite fights in the series. The Zoldycks are an iconic family in general so who better to represent that than the leaders.

I already saw there's an Illumi pin and someone mentioned a Kite pin already, so I was thinking of a pin with Illumi & Hisoka!!! Illumi is my favorite character and he got his focus I needed during the election arc :) The crazy dynamic Illumi and Hisoka had working together to take down everyone was so good!!! I've seen the scene where Illumi gets mad at hisoka made into art a lot, so maybe instead you could have a pin of both of them holding their weapons back to back or something showing their teamwork for that short time on the arc!!

I’d really love to see Kalluto or Shalnark pinned =] Kalluto is such an underrated character, I know most people don’t have an opinion towards him or don’t like him but to me it’s because he never got to develop his own personality. He was raised as a girl by his mom and unlike killua, lacks the initiative to go against her. As well in the chimera ant arc he is at first confident in his skill and ability but when exposed to the power of the troupe realizes he still has such a long way to go. To me it seems like he has an inferiority complex and wants to be more than just a puppet of kikyo. For Shalnark, I just really love all the members of the troupe, and his autopilot form brought so much more to his ability. He is such a lighthearted and cunning character and I loved getting to see more of what the phantom troupe could do outside of their arc. Makes 96-97 my favorite episodes ^^

I would love to see Shalnark during the chimera ant arc. This is purely self indulgent because we got to see more of his combat skills and it was pretty hot.

Me tossing a :peepoEntering: into the chat to come at Yvette with a long rambling essay. : ) I think that Kite should be the new pin (I’m not counting the fact that his head was on the Death of Kite pin— PLEASE YVETTE LET ME HAVE THIS). I think it’s been examined, re-examined, beat to death, but it’s SO crucial to the Chimera Ant Arc how much Kite means to Gon; Kite is tangible, solid proof that what he’s been searching for exists somewhere, that Ging is OUT THERE and that Gon can absolutely find him if he tries. Kite’s death obviously was impactful for Gon, but the ripple effects from that event coalesced into a beautiful exposé on Gon and Killua’s friendship, what they mean to each other, and the inferiority that Killua felt during the invasion of the Palace. Kite was a mentor, friend, and guiding light for Gon, and the key part in showing us just how black and white Gon’s morality really is when push comes to shove (or even thinking back across the show, just in general, but never this blatant). Hunter x Hunter evolved into something so much more than the basic premise that we’re presented with in the first episodes, but we began the journey with Gon becoming a hunter LIKE Ging, TO FIND Ging. Kite is the second to last piece of the puzzle, someone that knows Ging and can provide Gon with guidance and answers that he can't find anywhere else. Kite comes in and shows Gon that while his journey has been long, and there have been detours, he’s one step closer to the end.

During the Chimera ant arc, my boy Ikalgo pushed through his fears and came through for his team. He always expressed so much fear and tried to be practical which I find in myself. But his loyalty pushes him out of his comfort zones into dangerous situations that may not be smart, it ultimately also pushed himself to grow in character- which I hope for myself. He didn’t join the human forces for survival alone, he was capable and willing to indulge in friendship first if I recall correctly! He admired Killua’s strength and attitude. I’m a huge sucker for that sort of development. The US. vs them dwindling away due to a wholesome connection. Ugh yes. Oh! Maybe killua and ikalgo?

Melody!! BUT a pin centered around her the telling of what happened to her. So like a pin of her but then a block /panel style above her with either a blacked out figure ( the devil ) playing a violin OR an interpretation of what she looked like before in the box / a blacked out figure of what appears to be a beautiful women. Hope that makes sense. !!

A Manifesto : Colt and Kite Arguably one of the most important arcs in Hunter x Hunter is the chimera ant arc. Here, we see an intertwining of character development from both the chimera ants and hunters alike. These moments capture our attention, and make for some of the most memorable main and supporting characters in any anime to date. I am here to argue my case for one of the most concrete and interesting duos in this arc: Colt and the (reincarnated) Kite. Though small in presence, these two have debatably some of the most important and cornerstone moments in this arc. Colt was the first of the ants to really find his “humanity”, and be recognized to have great power without necessarily utilizing it. He will only take adults as his prey, not children, again reflecting back on his human like characteristics. This was most likely due to him being a regeneration of a young boy named Kurt, who was eaten trying to protect his younger sister. This dynamic is a parallel his interactions with both the humans, the in time, the reborn Kite. He is able to approach both Morel and Knov, offering a white flag of defeat, in order to save his queen. Secondarily, is his vow to raise Kite. This affectionate gesture is something not seen within the other chimera ants (seldom a few others), and allows for the young Kite to survive. Kite was a foundation to Gon’s development as an individual and as a hunter. His death was a massive part of projecting the story line, as well as an immense portion of Gon’s decision making and interactions with our girl, Pitou. Therefore, Kite’s reincarnation serves as a pivotal moment in Hunter x Hunter, as the young Kite seems to carry all of old Kite’s memories. Without Colt, young Kite may never have been found, and given a chance to survive. With this, Gon, during the 13th chairmain election arc, is given an opportunity to gain closure when he is able to speak to reincarnated Kite. Gon is able to give an apology for what happened with Pitou, and give his vow to protect Kite next time when he is stronger. With this closure, Gon is now free to go find his father. I hope you enjoyed this short essay; I really had a great time writing it! These were just two characters who I loved during this arc, and I never see any pins of them!

Melody is one of the most beautiful characters but a lot people choose to ignore it because of her looks; or because she isn't "badass". Its literally the “its what’s on the inside that counts”, personified. I really wish Melody got more love considering how much of a great friend she really is, I know I want a friend like her. Her contribution to yorknew arc/kurapika in general is *chefs kiss*. She’s one of the only people who can truly read and help kurapika calm down and help him rationalize situations. Can you imagine going through what she’s gone through and still wanting to be kind and help people? That would break a lot of peoples spirits, yet she still chooses to be kind. She’s one of the strong hxh ladies that doesn’t get enough recognition. I know if she gets chosen you’ll do my girl justice <3

Zeno Zoldyck and Chairman Netero should definitely deserve their own pin. They were amazing with their entrance during the chimera ant arc. It is by far one of my favorite scenes throughout HxH. They are so powerful and so cool, I loved seeing the power they held over Pitou and made Pouf panic. 10/10 entrance. The silence between the two and the visuals of the scene are *chefs kiss.* People forget such an amazing duo and moment.

I think cheadle should win! We met her as one of the zodiac members during the election arc. I haven't seen any zodiac members pinned. So I think this good girl should get pinned because she is a cute lil dog girl and her color scheme is one of my favorite colors.

Would love to see a combination Zeno Zoldyck + Chairman Netero pin. Their entry into the Chimera ant story with Zeno's Dragon Dive is a truly stunning standout moment from the anime. Possibly the coolest display of force in anime history, and I don't think I've ever seen it pinned before. Could even have debri from the gungi board/pieces flying up from the bottom or sides to illustrate the impact of the dragon dive! Zeno is one of my favorite characters and Netero has only gotten half his face pinned so I feel like he should be in play here :)

Imma say Morel. Not only did he carry that pipe on his back; but carried that entire Chimera Arc, while Knov hid in a hole. Took lead for the expedition, compassionate especially towards his students, defeated Pitou in a manipulation battle and vaped a deep purp for a week in the capital. We could keep going about the stuff he has done but my man needs some pin love. Slick hair, shades and some puff puff pass

Morel and Knov would be an amazing duo because their roles were important during the infilitration in the chimera ant arc and poor knov even had his hair turn white from the overpowering of nen

I would love a triple pin of Hisoka, Gon, and Killua from the greed island arc. Specifically where they are locked up together to support each other and use their greatest strengths to defeat razor in the volleyball game. This scene is my favorite scene in the entire series. I loved that all three great characters worked together in this scene

Ponzu and Pokkle simply because they could’ve had it all and been one of the greatest ships of hxh but alas, their deaths were a gruesome & great start to the chimera ant arc.

Ikalgo needs a pin! His character development was immaculate. He was my favorite character from the Chimera Ant Arc. He was so spicy and and a baby all in once. And when he cried I cried. I really love him. Please pin him please TT

I want to suggest Zushi and Wing because the heavens arena arc is one of my favorites because we really see the start of Gon and Killuas progress with nen and wing was a big part of that being their first teacher willing to show them Nen and Zushi was like a younger brother and friend for Gon and Killua and I do wish he appeared more besides one of the movies I haven’t seen much of them for fanart and stuff either

I feel like Kalluto should be pinned! I’ve never seen them pinned before by anyone and I feel they’re a really underrated character! I feel like they really stood out in the chimera ant arc where the phantom troupe return to meteor city and she battles with a random ant with using confetti and a paper fan to create a massive tornado of paper shards that slices the enemy but it looked so beautifully in the scene

melody is my proposal and her time in the DC arc. I think she's such a beautiful character that doesn't always get the praise she deserves for being kurapikas friend because she doesn't look conventional. she is do loyal, charismatic and such a true hearted character. i think she's very underappreciated in that she'll never be featured in merch the way other characters are. she's also one of the few animes characters whose looks aren't made fun of.

I would like to submit a request for a melody from the yorknew city arc. SHES such an underrated character who plays such an important role throughout that arc. Her character alone has gone through so much and helped kurapika and the others with dealing with the phantom troupe I think she deserves some recognition!

Shalnark from York New arc! He’s abilities in the arc to manipulate people was really cool and seeing him work with the rest of the spiders was great! He also cared for his fellow members and that was very sweet. He definitely needs to be appreciated 🥺❤️
