POLL: Pick the next Extended Play Lounge

For this next EPL, I think it will be fun to check out a movie soundtrack. All of these choices are from our Master List, and I'm eager to hear them all. But...which one first? Help me decide by picking your preferred option!

This poll will run through Monday.

"Lunatic Fringe" is one of my favourite songs. The group Red Rider was advised against publishing the song which turned into their biggest hit. The opening resonance broken by the guitars is great. The steady metered beat interrupted with the B3 organ and the doppler sirens... sorry got carried away.

I missed this poll, but I have to say, the Heavy Metal soundtrack is GOOD STUFF. "Lunatic Fringe" is killer and so relevant right now. I wasn't ready for that gratuitous nudity in the film when I saw it. It was ahead of its time.

Hey Doug. "Blade Runner" is one of the most analyzed films of cinema school. It is, IMHO, Ridley Scott's best film (editing, sound, the total package) and is up there with Stanley Kubrick's "2001" as a seminal sci-fi movie that features deep philosophical contemplation about the human condition (derived from Philip Dick's book, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"). It would be worth watching before you die. As for your question about whether you should watch the film before listening to the soundtrack, it's an interesting dilemma. My guess is (after your earlier preview of Vangelis's music) it won't matter too much. I still listen to this album 3-4 times a week (it's perfect for background study music). When I listen, I almost never see images from the movie forming in my head; his music seems to transcend the medium, inducing a different reaction depending on whether it's heard solo or in the context of the film. Now that I think about it, I would really like to hear your reactions absent the visual images associated with each track!
