2020-07-27 01:19:29 +0000 UTCThe reason I want Bernie is I think the Democrats have, again, chosen a candidate that might squeak by, but this person needs a mandate. I also think that performace as a presidential candidate may not matter since SO MUCH has changed since Biden became the presumptive nominee. Clearly this is a case where the VP will have a greater influence on the outcome than perhaps in history. Whitmer is a fair choice, but I am not sure she is left enough. Biden is so centrist that I think the more left the better. For someone young, Beto O'Rourke, comes to mind, or Cory Booker, but Beto is better. I think this is one election cycle where the Black and Hispanic voters do not need a friendly candidate to come to the polls, it's the Hipster vote that will decide , and Beto and Bernie will bring them out.

Rachel Maddow did a great podcast series on him called "Bagman" https://www.msnbc.com/bagman, Worth a listen. I agree about Dick Cheny, even though that was so recent one could say the jury is still out on him. Joe Biden needs to pick Bernie Sanders as his running mate (even though I know he won't). Bernie encites passion, and recently Biden encites napping.
