Production News - June 2021
Added 2021-06-04 18:01:42 +0000 UTCHey everyone, apologies for the radio silence of late, we've had a few production issues these past couple of weeks, mostly stemming from an unforeseen video-editor update. Not to draw out a long, and frustrating, story, but the forced version update for my video editor caused a few issues, including missing personal settings, missing saved effects, and also the program now uses nearly 50% more RAM for some reason. It has been a hassle trying to get everything back the way I want it, and that's meant that we've just barely been getting videos out on time, hence why we haven't posted much to Early Access these past couple of weeks.
I've sorted out most of the issues, except the massive spike in RAM-usage, so you should start seeing more videos popping up on Early Access from here on out.
Going on to some good news though, I'm happy to announce that we've now posted 106 videos on Morrowind Modding Showcases so far in the 2021 calendar year! That's more than any previous year since 2017, and nearly double the number of videos posted in 2020 (67). I really can't thank you all enough for supporting the channel, this simply wouldn't be possible without you!
Also, the 2021 Morrowind May Modathon Month Modding Competition has come to an end. We won't have the official winners until June 30th, but right now it looks like about 236 new mods were released for this year's competition, falling just a bit short of the record! We'll have an official breakdown of those mods posted tomorrow, but for now, you can check out the full participating list of mods here. We'll be sending out random-drawing prizes to some of the contestants over the next week, and of course, we'll be doing a lot of video showcases for these mods over the next month!
Anyway, we're going to be focusing on getting video production back up to speed this next week, and I'm still aiming to release Morrowind Modding Showcases - Episode 76 (Verticality Themed) on June 13th, so stay tuned for that!
