The Inhuman Royal Family, their Royal Guards, and Matt found themselves escorted to the police station, where the meta-cops debated whether it was necessary to involve the Avengers Tower in this matter. The atmosphere was tense, as uncertainty hung in the air.
However, it wasn't long before S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel arrived at the station, led by none other than the director himself, Nick Fury, accompanied by Agent Coulson. Their expressions were grave, their demeanor exuding authority and determination.
Fury approached the enigmatic figure at the head of the group, his gaze unwavering. "You're the leader of them, I presume?" he asked, his voice steady and commanding.
Blackagar Boltagon, ever the silent and inscrutable presence, merely regarded the man before him with a quiet intensity. After a moment, he offered a slight nod, his expression remaining unreadable.
Fury's brow furrowed at the terse response, but he chose not to dwell on it. Instead, he turned on his heel and began to stride out of the station, Coulson following closely behind. "Follow me," he instructed.
Medusa glanced at her husband, seeking his guidance. In response, he gave her a subtle nod, and together, they led their group in following the enigmatic S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Though they may have seemed naive for trusting strangers so readily, the Inhumans were bolstered by their immense power and the knowledge that few things on this planet could truly threaten them. This was especially true for Black Bolt, whose strength and resolve were legendary for them.
10 Minutes Later
The entire group gathered at the base of the imposing Avengers Tower, their eyes scanning the gleaming structure that soared high above them. As they entered the building, they were immediately greeted by the sleek, modern design and the palpable sense of power that seemed to emanate from every surface. Together, they boarded the elevator, the doors sliding shut with a soft hiss as they began their ascent to the top floor.
As the elevator glided smoothly upward, the group was silent, but Matt on the other hand was a bit excited since he can also remember who Tony Stark. When they finally reached their destination, the doors opened to reveal a spacious, well-appointed living area, and they were greeted by an unexpected sight: an oval-shaped android, its gleaming metallic surface reflecting the soft light that filled the room.
The android was equipped with an array of specialized tools, including a vacuum attachment on one hand and a liquid cleaning system on the other. It moved with a grace and precision that was almost hypnotic, its every motion carefully calibrated to ensure maximum efficiency.
As the group watched in fascination, the android went about its tasks, maintaining the pristine condition of the living area with an ease and expertise that was truly impressive. It then left afterwards.
As Fury and Coulson strode confidently into the spacious living area, the Inhumans followed closely behind, their eyes having an impressed look in them.
Floor-to-ceiling windows adorned every wall, offering an unobstructed panorama of the bustling metropolis below. From their vantage point atop the towering Avengers Tower, the city stretched out before them like a glittering tapestry, its myriad lights twinkling like stars in the night sky.
The living area itself was a study in modern elegance, with sleek furnishings and minimalist decor that complemented the stunning vista outside.
"Make yourselves at home." Fury nodded at the inhumans while gesturing to the comfy-looking couches. The former stayed silent and only sat down when Black Bolt did so.
The Black Bolt of this universe wasn't as reserve and stoic evident of him even going by the idea of allying himself and his race with the heroes of earth. This is due to him actually visiting earth a few times in the past.
Fury, on the other hand, walked and went to the deeper part of the floor where Tony should be working on some of his inventions. "Stark! We're here. Bring yo' ass in here!"
[I'm afraid Sir Stark isn't there Mr. Fury.] Just A Rather Very Intelligent System aka Jarvis' voice resounded within the floor as Fury stopped in his tracks with an annoyed look on his face.
"Then where the hell is he?" Fury replied in anger.
"I'm here." Tony's voice also resounded within the room but it had a special sound effect as if It came from another direction. Looki at that direction. Everyone saw the genius billionaire in his Iron Man suit landing in hanging landing site of his, just outside the windows.
As Tony Stark strode confidently across the sleek, high-tech flooring, robotic arms came out and sprang into action, their movements fluid and precise as they began the intricate process of removing his Iron Man suit.
Each arm moved with a speed and efficiency that was almost mesmerizing to watch, their metallic appendages whirring and clicking in perfect synchronization. As the suit pieces were carefully detached and lifted away, Tony couldn't help but marvel at the sheer ingenuity of the system he had designed. It was a testament to his great brilliance, a feat of engineering that few others could have even dreamed of.
Despite the intricate nature of the suit removal process, it was carried out flawlessly, with a level of speed and precision that left no room for error. As the final piece of the suit was lifted away, Tony stood there, his hands spread to either side, basking in a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. His thoughts, tinged with his characteristic narcissism, couldn't help but proclaim, 'I'm such a genius...'
Silence filled the room as everyone present stared at Tony Stark, who stood just outside the window, radiating an aura of unshakable self-confidence and unparalleled narcissism.
"What the hell?" Fury muttered, his gaze fixed on Tony, clearly taken aback by the display.
The Inhumans, too, were rendered speechless by the scene unfolding before them. Even the ever-stoic Black Bolt couldn't help but frown slightly, his thoughts turning to the decision he had made to ally himself with these so-called Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He couldn't help but wonder if he had made the right choice, given the eccentricities of the man who stood before them, basking in his own self-admiration.
Tony Stark, alternatively, made his way through the windy and open, hanging floor and until he reached the doorway of the spacious room.
Once inside. His keen eyes surveyed the room, observing the seated Inhumans before shifting his gaze to Fury, a questioning look on his face. "Who are they?" he inquired, his interest aroused.
The Inhuman Queen, Medusa, captured his attention as she sought her King's consent before rising to address the pair of men. Her voice was composed and steady, yet Tony couldn't help but detect an underlying sense of urgency. "We didn't want to do this," she started, "but our King has chosen to request your assistance with our present dilemma."
As Medusa spoke, Tony listened attentively, his thoughts already exploring various solutions.
"The King's brother, Maximus, had gone mad and is now occupyi–"
However, before she could complete her statement, Stark interjected with an apparently unrelated query. "Is your hair natural?" he questioned, his eyes locked on the magnificent tresses flowing down her back. "It looks good," he remarked, genuinely captivated by the allure of her hair.
Fury and Coulson rubbed their temples in frustration but didn't say anything as they just stood at the side continued watching.
Caught off guard by the sudden change in topic, Medusa hesitated for a moment before continuing her explanation, her facial expression remaining unchanged. "As I was saying earlier, Maximus, who is my brother-in-law and the King's brother, went insane and staged a coup, which resulted in us being forcibly exiled from our home."
Noticing Tony's waning interest, she decided to provide some context. "You see, this bald man with an eye patch already knows our true identities, so we might as well tell you. We are a group of super-powered humans, just like the metas here. We are known as Inhumans, and we reside on the moon. That's where Maximus is currently located."
The sound of the automatic door opening caught everyone's attention, and they turned to see a muscular man wearing a brown jacket, casual pants, and shoes. Steve Rogers greeted Fury and Stark as he walked in and took his assigned seat. "Sorry for being late."
Tony sighed and recounted what Medusa had just said. "So, apparently, this group of people is a race that originated from the moon. They have come to seek our help because their kingdom has been taken over by an evil brother."
Steve Rogers was taken aback by this revelation, but Tony wasn't finished yet. "And they are also super-powered, just like the metas. They call themselves Inhumans."
Rogers couldn't help but bring his hand to his forehead and start rubbing it as he thought about how he used to fight evil Germans, but now he was about to fight people from the moon.
Realizing that there was no use in dwelling on it, he straightened himself and addressed the Inhumans. "Please tell us more about your situation so that we can discuss it further."
