The Greens are REALLY Screwed After the Election

[Higher tier exclusive video]
Hello Patrons,
In the Patreon exclusive video last month we mentioned this was happening; an exclusive video for the higher tiers. We're not just paywalling content we could normally release though, these videos will have insider info and stuff we heard off the grape-vine that can't be fully verified. So you know what that means, it's gonna be saucy and you need to take it with a grain of salt. If you know more about this topic let us know in the comments! This also doesn't mean we'll be slowing down on what we give everyone else, we're producing more, and longer, videos than ever before. You've already seen one of the bigger ones that will be out on Youtube tomorrow. We'll also be doing another patreon suggestion poll shortly.

This video is about the internal post-election fallout in the Greens. With their loss of seats there are now too many mouths to feed and not enough support going around. As a result we've been hearing about some bitter infighting.

We'll be putting out one of these a month and focus on "insider baseball" topics that aren't suitable for the main channel. Look forward to them and thank you for being a higher tier supporter!

And the Queensland Path to Treaty that labor was bringing was immediately cut by Crisafulli!! Axing the Truth Telling Commission was one of the first things they cut after winning. And our Greens up here were pushing the No vote HARD, all through the Voice campaign, claiming that the Treaty was the way to go ("not good enough"). I personally blame the Progressive No for the overall loss, as the pressive no gave ordinary folks a psychological out where they otherwise would have voted Yes out of sheer guilt: you don't have to vote yes because *they* don't even want. SO SLIMEY

story

Love it!

Nate Dogg

In which seats in Western Sydney did they come second ? All the ones I saw where a Liberal or Labor contest?

Andrew Stanley

It's a wait and see I think this has been the case for the Greens political party for a very long time, and this is the first loss for them.

Andrew Stanley

The greens have cobbled together a voting base that has not a single pragmatic bone in it's body. This isn't the end for them because I think they'll always be able to muster up at 10-15% of the vote that prefers being right than actual progress. But they'll never be able to convince the broader electorate that they are a viable opposition or party of government.

Cameron Fry

The greens nearly came close in the seat of wills, which is a outer to inner city Melbourne suburb with preference flows. Thank goodness Peter Khalil still holded on that seat that was Bob Hawke’s old seat. With the western Sydney seats Blaxland which is Paul Keating’s old seat, and Watson both Tony Burke and Jason Clare still managed to get a swing towards from even though the Muslim votes collapsed the liberal party vote and siphoning a few votes from labor.

Leo Dewberry

As a (very) ex-employee of their affiliated NGO, I could not agree more. Everything in this video sounded EXACTLY like all of the shit that went down whilst I was there. The internal brawling was vicious, and very nearly brought down the organisation. As a result, none of this surprises me. There are very scarce resources and so everyone is fighting over the scraps. The smart ones leave after 12 months once they realise what a shitshow it all is. The stress levels were insane. I used to refer to it as the stress factory, as that seemed to be the main product. The comment about NGO jobs being hard to get. You better believe it. 2 x 1 hr interviews for a data analyst job where the pay was way below industry average. I had 2 degrees and a long history of involvement with alternative causes, and it was still a tough process.

It makes you wonder, if the Greens go the way of the Democrats and they splinter, do we end up with a beefed up Teal party and some irrelevant fringe group like Victorian Socialists? If that happened then Labor would have no real minor party competition left, and it would basically be competing against a splintered opposition of Teals, the dying Libs and One Nation types

Jesse

Why am I completely unsurprised at the level of self-hatred in the Greens?

Mickey D

To many mouths to feed, no enough food - spot on dude! My greatest example on why the Greens deserve to die is the Voice to Parliament. (forget what you think about the Voice and just read this). The Greens went on and on for nearly 40 years about how "we need a treaty!" and how they're "the first party to endorse the Uluru Statement". But they voted 'no' to the Voice based on some sort of solidarity with the 2 Indigenous party members they have?! If the Greens were truly the first party to endorse the Uluru Statement, they certainly didn't read the fucking thing as it clearly showed the model of 'Voice > Treaty > Truth'. The Greens knew the Voice to Parliament was Australia's only chance inshrine a federal treaty but they sided with the coalition to try split Labor's vote, and now because of that we will never see a federal treaty, ever, and that's because of the Greens! Next time you see a well meaning Greens voter go on about Indigenous affairs, tell them this! Because it's shit like that turned the voting base against them this past election.

Can’t wait for the greens to be replaced with the teals

Will

Love em or hate em, the teals have inadvertently lead to the destruction of Jordan's 2 least favourite political parties.

Saltyfennel

I’d be interested in something about the Muslim Vote people. They’re talking a fairly big game and most of their candidates in Western Sydney came second, so it’d be interesting to see how they pan out. I’m also not aware of their policies in other areas so I’m just hoping they’re not like Lib-lites or something as well lol.

Aston Bailey-Fong

My dad's mate worked with the Labor-turned-Independent candidate for the Prahran by-election and the sentiment was heavily against the Greens in that seat purely for that anti-Jewish attitude. Greens would've won that seat, then the independent candidate's preferences went to the Libs lol

Dan S

Love the goss, thanks Jordies

WeaponstoMax

Let's get the Legalise Cannabis Party to sweep in and finish the Greens off by taking their votes

Ian Reed

I would say that a party united around the vague concept of being "left-wing" doesn't help to create a stable, coherent or effective political force.

Aiden Archer

This is why their supporters are attacking the voting system. Thier numbers were higher then the Nat's guyssssss. As Jordan has pointed out before about it.

Alex Isaac

I messaged you guys on here, proton, and insta and haven’t heard back but I have a story regarding adani and Matt canavan. I did take the evidence to the greens canidate here in cairns and he did nothing! If you can pls help with this evidence that’d be great!!

Alexandria Voss

Getting a dopamine addiction here so high that no orgasm ever feels good again

ShillBill

Now this is some HOT GOSS

ShillBill

They must've used the same data as the Libs

KazTastic222

I'd like to know how they were going to win western Sydney seats? In Liverpool they don't exists I have seen greens maybe the times across all the elections, and I have been hanging out for Labor since I was 5 ( Mum heavily involved). These are multicultural communities so you need to show up for their events. That's what the MPs do besides a constant trying to help people that individually come into the office, you show up and listen to them.

Andrew Stanley

Ohhh man, what a fkn sweet sweet outcome. I might die if the deputy senate leader of the Greens cry on camera.

Dob WoLF

I know you said on your self help channel that slop is not great or productive, but the post-election greens implosion is hitting so many of my political g spots 😂

Alex Towner

Mandy Nolan in Richmond the 6'6" comedian, who runs how to be a comedian workshops. They've given up so badly there's still Mandy Nolan election corflutes around. The environment partly have left them to rot.

Ly Tong

I always did think Max would take a stable at leadership if he retained his seat

Samual Smith

Shit on the greens more… more than we already do Jordies!
