Chapter 2 Underway!
Added 2014-02-10 21:53:41 +0000 UTCFYI - In the future, any updates concerning the progress of the comic will be limited to Patrons only, since they're helping me out so much. This one's a freebie! Right, so far I've got about 10 roughly sketched pages. I actually "write" comics by thumb-nailing them out at the very beginning of the process. It helps me control the pacing a lot better and gives me a better idea what the finished product will be like. It's still a little iffy and needs a lot more work, but I'll hopefully have the entire thing scripted really soon. I'll let you know when I've finished and have moved on to the next step.

I do it largely for personal reasons. To me, it makes more sense to write a comic as a comic - and my brain has an easier time fixing and re-arranging things so that I can get the maximum emotional punch that I need. Sometimes if I'm inspired I can actually write a script, but my ideas are usually born from images AND dialogue. They never start with just words. So... uh... yeah, that's why I do it that way. (Also: YAY! :D)

2014-02-12 21:34:28 +0000 UTCThat's cool. I've actually wondered if the whole "script by thumbnail' method wouldn't be easier; I tend to imagine my ideas in little snippets and pictures anyways. I may have to force myself to try it sometime (I'm terrible about trying new stuff.) Good luck with your buffer! P.S. Part 3's up on Tumblr.
