JRL, the show has changed my life in so many ways as well. I am a 73year old, cis-gender, white, married male with kids and the show has helped me come to terms with my own bisexuality. I am grateful to Alice, Euros, Joe, Kit, and the others. Yoursis the best commentary I have seen. Thank you so much.

When I first saw this episode it was the first time that I had ever heard the expression 'downlow'. I first thought that he had said 'download'! I thought what a strange thing to be doing while kissing .... downloading something from the internet whilst kissing - how odd!! HAHA - ah well, live and learn eh! I've had many visits to the urban dictionary over the past few years when some of these 'modern' expressions have appeared.

You're so right about them sprinkling Charlie's MH throughout S1. Everytime he is in the art room, he never eats his lunch. He takes out the lunch box and opens it and plays with it, but never eats it. Only time you see him eat is the half eaten cereal, the fish and chips on the date and when he has lunch with Tao and Isaac, his lunch is half eaten. The more I watch S1, the more I spot and it's so GOOD

You're right. Joe will break our hearts. Seeing how you were effected by episode 8 of season 2. I don't know how you're going to cope with season 3. Rewatching this I can see the picnic table discussion between Nick and Tao also mirrors the S2E8 conversation at Prom set up. The Nathan and Youssef storyline was amazing. The Mr Ajayi, Mr Farouk and Ms Singh characters were so amazing across both seasons Fisayo, Nima and Chetna play them incredibly.

I love that look of pure contentment on Charlie’s face in that final scene.

This should be fun. I go back and rewatch episodes all the time. Let’s see what you thought at the time, Jackie.
