Doris and Ritchie have a big place in my heart. Not sure about Kevin. I really don't.

2023-07-15 23:42:38 +0000 UTCI agree with pretty much everything you say here about how great Doris is and how odd it is that Patrick goes along and yet not that surprising. I also still think that Kevin is and always has been a bad decision. I will also add that any episode of any show that has Mary Kay Place (Doris’s aunt Sarah) in it is automatically a winner in my book.

I have to agree with you about Patrick being there though Jackie, I'm not sure he really needed to go seeing as how he never knew any of Doris' family, but maybe she asked him to go, we don't know that. I'm strongly on the no side of Kevin and Patrick as well, the guy really thinks he can just turn up at his house, tell him he's dumped his long term boyfriend and that he wants to have a go with him as he is completely in love with him 🙄 I'm sorry but no, just no and Patrick just says yes without a thought of anything or anyone (Ritchie) Another stupid rash decision which I'm sure he'll come to regret like all the other snap decisions he makes.

2023-07-12 07:30:32 +0000 UTCMixed feelings about this episode. Doris is an immaculate character and I am glad that we got to see more of her backstory, albeit in a sad context. About Kevin…if you want an indication of how someone is likely to treat you, look at how they treat others. People can change, but dumping John after lying to both him and Patrick seems a very rocky foundation for a mutually respectful and loving relationship with Patrick now. The best episode so far, in my opinion. But I am still hopeful that Ritchie isn’t permanently relegated to ‘friend zone’.
