I love this show so much as Heartstopper 🤭 and I adore rewatching both and see sth new every time 🙂 The first time we see the prince-frog snow globe it kinda underlines rigid rules of Wille's life, almost prison-like... Moreover, inherited from Erik and their granpa... And when it brokes.... It's very special moment some time later. Oh Lisa is brilliant! 👌🩷

As far as I know they don't know that Simon is gay at that point... or maybe they do or suspect it and that's also sprinkled in there as well. But I still think more prominently what we're seeing here is very blatant classism. It's a theme we see throughout the show and one which I feel like YR does better than many other shows I've seen. These guys look down on Simon because he had to get a scholarship in order to go to Hillerska and because he can't afford to live there. They also assume a lot of things about his character due to his class (that he's "bound to know someone who makes moonshine" and that they wouldn't have anything in common with him). They see him as disposable and only useful to get something out of him. The first real conversation between Wilhelm and Simon touches on that class divide and it's something that they have to work through in order to be together. **edit: I see you discuss the classism later and in the following episode. That underlying theme music gives me chills, listening to it now and knowing what a rollercoaster season 1 and season 2 are. I jokingly suggested ages ago, that we should form a Young Royals survivors club, but I think we might actually need one at the end of season 3, which I don’t even like mentioning, because it will be the end of the most amazing show. I want to delay that last Wilmon endgame moment for as long as possible…❤️👑❤️
