Patreon Update - November 20th 2023

Good morning Patreon family and happy Monday to you all,

I hope you all had a great week last week and a wonderful weekend.

My time in London is very quickly coming to an end and I am very excited about what comes next. I had some logistical issues this weekend so didn't end up moving anything over the weekend but will be moving all my stuff this coming weekend then coming back to London for a few days to tie some things up. Honestly, I am counting down the days to be able to start this next chapter.

DMs - I am taking a step back from all DMs etc for the foreseeable to the point where I have turned off all notifications. I am finding myself being consumed by them and it's starting to have a negative impact. I want to connect with everyone on a personal basis but with the sheer volume I am currently receiving I just can't keep up and it's weighing me down. I hope you all understand. That's not to say I won't be replying - but just know that if I don't straight away it's because I've got a lot on at the moment.

I am doing a lot of work on what this channel will look like next year and I am really excited about ideas I am working on. It looks like we are going to smash my 2023 goal of 20k subs on YouTube (this will more than likely happen before the end of this month!) so my goal for 2024 is 50k subs. But, I am also looking at what kind of content I am creating.

I LOVE making reaction content and the conversations it brings up but next year I want to focus on some deeper content too. "Thank you, Alice Oseman" set the bar for me as a creator and I want to push that bar higher and higher to tell stories. Simply put - I don't want to just be a reaction channel. I feel like I have more to offer.

PO Box - quite a few people have asked me in the run up to christmas if there's anywhere they can send me things. Up to now it's not something I've really considered (though I have received some very kind gifts from some of you) but this is something I may look at moving back to the coast. I'll let you all know as and when that happens.

I don't have too much to update you all on other than that. We will continue moving forward with Our Flag Means Death and Fellow Travelers as I progress through the move and I will be looking and what else I can add in once I am settled.

Love, always ♥️

Take care of yourself first off, we are not going anywhere and we will still be here when you are all moved in and settled into a new routine. Love the sound of getting more of your own creations on here as well as all the reactions. Good luck with the move and see you on the other side 🥰

Best wishes for a smooth moving experience.

I am just going to basically say the exact same things everyone else said, we are here to support you! Take whatever time you need to do what you need to do! I am excited to see what you have planned for the next year and to aid you in any way possible! Remember to stay hydrated, stop when you are tired and we will be here when you are ready!

The older we get, the less time we seem to have even for those we love. It is impossible to be everything to everyone, and becoming a patron here or commenting on a video on YouTube does not automatically entitle anyone to a response. Please focus on yourself and your health and on those who bring you peace and joy just by their being near.

Take all the time you need. Don't burn yourself out. I hope everything goes well with the move and I look forward to seeing what's next when you're settled 😊 Be kind to yourself. We will all still be here supporting you.

The move is a hassle, but you will be glad you did it once you’re settled, going by my own experience. You are right to put yourself first and consider the best way forward in terms of the impact on your mental health of the volume of DMs. Turn us off if you need to do that and we can always use the comments here to say anything really important. Lots of love and good luck with the move. x❤️

Take the time you need to settle into your new space and new routines. Good luck with the move at the weekend!

Good Morning Jackie, May the move go smoothly. I’m looking forward to the next chapter after you’re settled.

Take your time, moving is so exhausting. I like your new ideas for your channel and I am looking forward to seeing some more of your own creations 🥰
