2024-04-06 15:19:06 +0000 UTCThis kiss between Wille and Simon is one of the best on-screen-kisses I’ve ever seen 🫠😍

2024-03-08 04:43:04 +0000 UTCThe ADHD medication my children take is Lisdexamphetamindimesilat. So for people who don’t have ADHD it can work like an amphetamine (Speed) and it can also give you hyperfocus. That‘s why some people take it to study.

2024-03-07 06:36:44 +0000 UTCJackie, there are a series of essays discussing (at great length) the metaphorical underpinnings of Young Royals that have (I think) been mentioned here before: tvmicroscope.substack.com and are quite beautiful. I sometimes think the author stretches a point to make a point but in most cases what he writes makes amazing sense to me. All of the essays are fascinating but the one that I think speaks to your particular background and talents is the music in Young Royals as a metaphor. And not just the score but what the deeper meaning of music is to the story. The author suggests that for Wilhelm and Simon, music equals love. And he goes further to say that metaphorically, the ear is a symbol for the heart. (I hope you're still with me.) Even the name Simon translates from ancient Hebrew as "to hear." There is more to this argument and you can read that for yourself but his thought that gob-smacked me and brought me to tears has to do with the concept of music and Simon and his relationship to his father. The author points out that the story tells us that for all of Simon's father's problems, from an early age, Simon learned about music from his father. That is to say, in the metaphorical sense of this story, from his earliest days, Simon learned to love from his father.

2024-03-07 01:42:30 +0000 UTCThis one hits hard, again because I don’t remember a lot of what happens, so it’s like the first time, I am not sure I am ready either…

2024-03-07 00:13:07 +0000 UTCI think August is also trying to make Wille doubt himself, slowly trying to break him down, so he can wheedle his way into his place…

2024-03-07 00:09:13 +0000 UTCWhen Sara texts August she actually writes: "We can't see each other anymore. I'm going with the girls. Sorry." So they just missed the sentence where she dumps him. That's why he reacts the way he does and goes back to being his worst self.

2024-03-06 21:54:29 +0000 UTCDid you know that Edvin only heard the song for the first time during filming the scene and that was his genuine reaction. No rerecord was needed for Omar that was the only recording needed. He really does have a beautiful voice.

2024-03-06 21:50:20 +0000 UTCI think you’re right about August. He’s lost his father under tragic circumstances and resents his mother’s partner, making it clear that he’s not his father on one occasion. He tells his mother that he can’t count on her when the matter of unpaid fees comes up and will have to rely on himself. That’s a lot to cope with for anyone, let alone a teenager and the only real status he has left, which he has at school, is being progressively undermined by Wille’s revenge programme of taking away his roles there. He’s forced into ‘fight mode’ and is also jealous of Wille, whom he sees as someone who doesn’t care about the Royal Family - he says at least Erik cared about his position as Crown Prince while Wille doesn’t even want that responsibility. I think in his mind, he’s cut out for leadership and would protect the monarchy, but as Sara eventually tells him, he’s really only been protecting himself. Malte is such a fine actor that at times, we can sympathise with his circumstances, even though we might detest his actions. There is a lot to detest though and although he tells Sara that she can’t imagine how much he regrets what he did with the video, he never really accepts responsibility for doing it, nor does he do anything to make amends. Maybe he will in season 3? But… you know what they say about a leopard and its spots.

2024-03-06 21:16:39 +0000 UTCAugust likes Sarah as she is upfront and honest. He knows he isn't second best to Sarah. I think August is very insecure He wants to be the most important person at the school. He lashes out in a child like way when he is upset. August needs to see Boris to learn how to manage his emotions in a healthy way. ADHD meditation is a stimulant to people who don't have ADHD.

2024-03-06 20:44:49 +0000 UTCThe song from S 1 is "Revolution" from Elias, this is "The most beaufiful boy" from The Irrepressibles ;)

2024-03-06 16:22:50 +0000 UTCWhat I found from one source when I looked it up online was that if someone who does not have ADHD takes the drugs for it, it will give them more motivation, but it will negatively affect their performance. I also looked up the Swedish product Yes, and it is as I suspected dishwashing liquid. I think you’re right about why August tells Alexander about Wille being the one who said to put the blame on him: he is hurt because Sara didn’t go to the ball with him, so at the earliest opportunity, he lashes out, even if it’s not at the person who hurt him.

2024-03-06 15:59:41 +0000 UTCOh God !!! I´m really scared for season 3. I don´t think I can handle to see you crying a lot, like S2 Episode 8 of Heartstopper... that really got me!!! Sending you big hugs for now !!!! Lovely greetings

2024-03-06 15:46:09 +0000 UTCUghhhhh he’s so grim. So manipulative. So glad that Simon dodges that bullet pretty quick!

2024-03-06 12:26:52 +0000 UTCThe song at the end is also from the S2 trailer.

2024-03-06 12:26:05 +0000 UTCAlso another gaslighting moment when they meet and have Pizza on Marcus’ car. When Marcus asks Simon to come to his place after the ball and Simon says “maybe” and he replies “what do you mean maybe? You want to!” Even if it seems like a joke at first, he really means it… I hated that.
Frances
2024-03-06 12:25:16 +0000 UTCIncoming mini-rant about Marcus. Everything he says and does in this episode is about a dishonest agenda, given that an eyeblink ago he was telling Simon that they could ‘take things slow’. Now he turns up in Simon’s room after previously saying that Simon should skip the ball and just hang out with him and all evening makes it clear that all he’s doing is putting up with being there so he can get Simon to sleep over. And obviously, he knew that Wille would be there and so he’s ‘policing’ the. room, too, so he can stake Simon out as his, just as he did at the rowing competition. He kisses him and it’s very much evident that it’s not reciprocal. At one point, he’s behind Simon when they get up to dance and his hands are pressing down on Simon’s shoulders from above as if he’s dominating him with his physical size and weight. He can’t read Simon’s body language because he’s not in tune with him. The magnetic attraction and natural chemistry between Simon and Wille in contrast is so intense that it leaves them-and us- breathless. It’s all beautifully shot, too, with echoes in the framing of the first kiss scene in season 1 episode 2. ❤️👑❤️

2024-03-06 07:40:41 +0000 UTChello! thanks for the treat when I woke up :) the song at the end of this is the same as s2 ep 6 The most beautiful boy by the irrepressibles but in s1 they used a song called revolution by Elias :)

2024-03-06 07:33:28 +0000 UTCIf you have ADHD the medicine calms you and gives you the ability to concentrate better among other things. If you don't have ADHD it gives you a sort of high that makes you more "speedy". At least from what I know. Both me and my daughter have ADHD. The song is called "The most beautiful boy"
