On your questions about Lestat/humility vs. Louis: Louis is closer in years to his humanity while Lestat has been a vampire longer than he was human. Definitely always keep in mind from episode to episode, who is telling the story โ this being told from Louisโ POV and Claudiaโs kind of switching in this episode.

2024-09-17 02:00:48 +0000 UTCLike I said it has been like 20 years since I read the book (I only read the first, I kept starting the second, then getting distracted by shiny thingsโฆ) I feel like I enjoyed the book, they have changed things obviously, and I am curious how some of those changes will impact plot lines from the book, but I guess we will wait and seeโฆ Perhaps read the first one after watching the show, so that you can continue with being surprised, rather than wondering when โXโ is going to happenโฆ

Iโm a glutton for spoilers so Iโve read a lot about what goes on in the books to prepare myself for the show lol Itโs a long series though and things definitely get a littleโฆwacky after like the first 5 or so books. I would absolutely wait to read the books until after you finish the 2nd season though because Season 1&2 adapt the 1st book and Season 3 will start the 2nd book. Thereโs no information on when Season 3 comes out, but they should start filming this year! You definitely got it here! Lestat seems unsympathetic and โabove human emotionsโ except when it comes to Louis. He is DESPERATE for Louisโ love and attention. And not getting it in the way he wanted is what drives him crazy. Still no excuse for what he did to Louis though! That fight in the house is still incredibly hard for me to watch. I get emotional everytime, I get it!
