Reacting to Heartstopper Season 3 - Episode 6 🍂

Gooood evening beautiful Patreon family!

We are jumping back into Heartstopper season 3 and I am REALLY hoping there are less tears in this episode from me!

Thoroughly looking forward to hearing all your thoughts on this episode...

See you in the comments!

Love, always ♥️

Once you get past the start it gets lighter. I must say that as far as humour goes, I find the way that Charlie says 'Friends' to Tori and of course the Jack Maddox/ Nick Nelson interaction were just on point.

Diving in N&C journey I have still my mind blown by both Joe's and Kit's acting. Joe makes me being Charlie all along, living his life at the moment. It's kinda perfect the affection in their eyes, especially Nick's and his rosy cheeks 🤗❤️

Also, as I just rewatched E6 on my own, I remembered that you pulled Song of Achilles, but we know Charlie already read it, because Issac is mad at Charlie in E4 because he told him to read it and he said he cried for hours after…

Erin

Also the way Nick immediately noticed Charlie being uncomfortable when he asked wether he can take his shirt of and then said „we should stop!“ I mean, can his flag get any greener?! 🥹🥰

Frances

The scene where Charlie takes off his shirt and is looking at his scars in the mirror was the most powerful for me of the season. I had to pause the show and take a moment. As someone who struggled with SH really badly in high school, it was one thing having people know that I dealt with that, but a whole other thing for them to actually see my scars. It took me so long to feel comfortable wearing clothes in public that showed them. Now, 10 years later, I rarely think about them. They are a part of my story, but that scene just took me right back and showed me how far I've come. Charlie will get there too. <3

Came to the comments to write exactly this! I relate to Imogen so much

Mare

I thought the exact same thing 🥰

Wiebke Kempa

That!!! 💯

Frances

A lot of reactors thought that Nick was being a little oblivious when (drunk) Charlie was talking to him about wanting to „do things“ by asking him „what kinda things“. But i actually think that we see, yet again, a very respectful and considerate Nick Nelson. Who just wants to make sure that he and his boyfriend are on the same page and does not want to leave any room for misunderstandings or false interpretations. At least that’s how I feel about the scene 🥰 And on a side note: Joe was playing a very convincing role as drunk Charlie 😅

Frances

Whoever said there was one episode you didn‘t have to cry was lying. This is Heartstopper! Of cause you have to cry 😭🥲🥰

Wiebke Kempa

Thank you for sharing that! I had to google comphet and I like that I learned something new again 🤗

Wiebke Kempa

Good morning ! Perfect way to Start the Day 🥰 Thanks Jackie! Happy weekend 🤩

Prinsassy

Well, I was definitely not one of the people who said you wouldn’t cry from here on out. 🙈 Cause I did cry during almost every episode. Simply because I also cry at beautiful and heartwarming moments and not only the sad ones. 😊 I must say that I probably cried the most during the very last episode… 🥹 I loved this episode for so many reasons. But the last scene is probably my favorite one. Praise be to Geoff!!!

Frances

Yeah, they snuck in a little Solitaire in there. 😭 Also, I just adore Geoff! And there is a moment at Charlie’s party, where Charlie & his friends are just dancing & abandoned …. and seeing Tori watching him being so joyful and free just absolutely touched me. I am all about the Nick & Charlie of the story. But this season, my favorite scenes are all Tori & Charlie.

MollyB

That was the best way to end my day! You really are the best reactor out there! This was very much worth the wait! I think this episode might have some of my new favorite moments, and watching it again with you makes it even better! I can’t wait (but I can, take all the time you need) to see your reactions to the last 2 episodes!

Erin

I really like the Imogen storyline and I find it interesting that many queer women that I know clocked her as comphet from the beginning. Apart from the being popular so much of her story resonates with me and it is really nice to see that story unfold on the screen. I agree that it would be nice to have more ally representation but I love the variety of queer representation we are seeing. I struggled so much as a teen and young adult with only seeing one version of a queer journey because it did not fit me it is nice to see something a bit closer.

I was also hoping that these last three episodes, past the events of Last Winter, might be a bit of a letdown because of less intensity, but I don’t find them a letdown at all. There are those couple of darker moments near the beginning of the episode, but most of it is more hopeful, at least for Charlie and Nick. I love the scene in which Charlie talks Tara down from her panic attack, and how far it shows Charlie to have come. The radio interview with Elle is infuriating, but I think it’s good that we see some of the kind of real-life things Elle has to struggle with and how they impact her. It is fun to see Nick get so flustered around the Jack Maddox character (and hey, wouldn’t we all get flustered if we met Jonathan Bailey face-to-face?). And I have to say that I find myself smiling every time that Michael Holden shows up this season.

Lane Wright

Ooh ... I actually loved the Imogen storyline, because it hasn't jumped straight to definitions and labels. She gets to be questioning, and there isn't pressure for a resolution just so she can fit into a tidy box. I love that.

I literally manifested about we would get a video today, and we sure did! This episode was a lot but it really dived into more of the moments, from Charlie's therapy sessions with Geoff, to the journey Charlie has made so far, to seeing Elle's journey, and seeing how we are seeing and understanding Tara's struggles. Like I feel like almost everyone in our lives has this vision where they expect everything about something when in reality, behind closed doors no one really understands, and I love how well it was kind of brought up in this episode like seeing how Charlie was trying to get the confidence to tell Nick he wanted to go the next step which obviously we see the actual more confidence in episode 7 and 8. Like, the journeys all these characters have gone through, and especially seeing how that we have seen a huge change from season 1 to now, and it's absolutely amazing to see the growth since then. I love how we've been able to see the more accepting moments, the struggles, the understanding, the growth, and towards every character experiences one thing after the next. I just love how more hands on Alice were for this season, especially going deep into these stories, and yes, absolutely! The makeup team did a great job at making them look so real and seeing those scars, like you can tell just how much more it has been a struggle for Charlie and how he is trying to balance at his life, and seeing that he knows that some days aren't going to be the best but he knows he can open up but of course he also knows its a challenge in his own mental health to do so. I just can't get enough of these reactions, I can't wait to see the final two episodes

Brittney

So glad I stayed up late tonight. Thank you. Just what I needed. X

the music that played at the end of the episode, showing how far charlie has come on his journey, is one of my favourite moments from the show hands down.
