A Fast Question !? [RPGM/2D Games and why ?]

Do you like Rpgm style 2d games ? Or directly 2d games ? And Why ?

I am asking, because i just wonder. Some games very popular and i didn't understand the reason. Can you explain something ? Please share your reviews if you know it or like it :) <3

If you don't know, please searh on web as "Rpgm" or "2d giantess game"

Truth be told, i have no idea why 2D RPGM games are so popular. They all look the same to me and bore me to tears... I would rather see people put that effort/energy into literally anything else. Like creating a shrink ray mod for a game like Cyberpunk2077, Or Assassins Creed Valhalla, Farcry5, or hell even if its something like The Sims 4 at least its 3D and more interesting to look at. πŸ˜‚

you could create a mod for this game. they use this unify and unreal engine. plus there are already a lot of mods out there.

there are normal games out there with mods that allow your avatars to be shrunken. so you can multyplay with other people as a shrunken player.

I think I prefer more rpgm 2d games. There is a lot of reasons. But main one are; 1.) easier to build since all tools simplyfy execution of code - 2.)thus quick releases are possible. Where compared to lets say some 2d or 3d game, you have to code a lot more, and that eventually takes a lot of focus from developing a story to developing a system that can support a story. Which often times end up very poorly due to aformentioned reason. 3.) There is more time to develop a story. - Those are the main reasons why some rpgm 2d games are very popular. They have a longer lasting influence simply because story is more meaty. I only wish more art creators would take this into consideration and concentrated their art effort towards developing one major story-game. Just by monthly publishing art its not really enough if it does not serve the purpose because people remember the titles and stories. And even if those stories have less great art, they still draw a lot of crowd - if the story is good enough!

I been playing the giantess game "flattened" lately its a giantess survival game where you run thought the city or town and avoid getting crushed by the giantess that rampaging in the city. I really enjoy it.

Played quite a few 2d and RPGM style gts games. Some of my favourites are Shrink Hotel, Shrinking Research Club, FantasM and Giantess Mansion. The exploration is often the most fun parts of these games combined with the minigames that are often included. Fighting a giantess in a classic RPG style using skills in combination with good CG's for the attacks or death events makes some of these games my favourties. And making some of the bosses very difficult to beat gives the player a good feeling of just how powerless they can be in front of a giantess. Yet also satisfying when you end up defeating them (or lose to them)
