Maiya and Irisviel talk about their hopes for the future (which is overall really sad, because Maiya doesn't think she'll survive and Irisviel knows she won't....) and then just to twist the blade a bit more, Maiya actually gets killed and it looks like Rider took Irisviel? o.o Except we know he was regenerating 'til nightfall! What's going on?!

Late to the party but love your reactions so far. One thing I will point out is that remember Kiritsugu and Irisveil both new she was going to die well before the war so they had both been mentally preparing for it at least. Maiya (however much the possibility was there) we don't know how much he really considered her death before hand, so I think that's likely why he actually cried for her but was composed for Iri
