Shut up Wesley! They were really mean to him, especially in the first season. But Wesley seems to mainly be a plot device for a quick resolution to every story in the beginning; X happens! It's going to destroy the ship! Oh Wesley solved it, episode over... And as always with a badly written character, the actor (Wil Wheaton) had to bear the brunt of the anger towards it.

Lore and Data are nearly identical in construction - Lore is just programmed differently, to be more adaptive and to simulate human emotion. The problem being he seemed to emulate the worst human emotions best of all - envy, greed, malice, cruelty. And he was ruthless - something Data was not, and therefore Lore could stay ahead of Data because he'd go over lines his brother was unwilling (or unable) to cross.
