ABR 6.2 - Modern Action Game Input System

It's finally here, but before that a few reminders:

* Please READ! 6.2 introduces a whole new input system, It's not rootmotion+, it's not skysa + some random edits; NO it's not bugged because your right click can only attack, or your left trigger is a power attack, There is a dedicated guide and explanation regarding this new feature.  Toggle the charge attacks using Right Alt and a standalone unlock grip using right Shift; every basic fix is all on the guides, If you're new, please read them all, if you've already been here for quite a bit, a fair amount of reading the ABR 6.2 guide will do* Thanks!

Similar to Modern Games like God of War, the action based combat always felt fluid because of a snappy input system, Skyrim's is decent enough, but only having 1 button for attacks felt lacking. I want to turn it like your standard action game, and this Project does exactly that.

Instead of Just Light attack and power attack(via Hold) you now have Light attack, Power attack(vial Hold) + a new specialized key which translates to another set of heavy attacks, the new heavy attacks or strong attacks can be chained, transitioned to regular or power attacks.

to avoid scripts, making new events + attack data, I used only vanilla events + functions or bindable keys. Not making new attack data is necessary so I avoid touching racial records  because this conflicts with both script or race mod,  

The previous "Left Hand Item Key" or the "left attack button" originally right click on vanilla bindings is now a dedicated strong attack key, when in 2 handed, sword and shield and one handed builds,

It reverts to the standard input when dual wielding, one hand with magic and Fist/unarmed builds.

So this means that a dual wield parry mod is absolutely necessary. Any Dual Wield Parry mod will do. I personally use

for Keyboard + Mouse Users, You may not need to worry that much, though Controller users may struggle a bit to free up space, Personally, I use this control maps txt:

since I just prefer simple controls, But to be honest, any control map mod will do; what I do heavily recommend though is placement of my attack buttons, and I'm a really huge fan of the modern standard:
R1/RB: Right handed Item input key

R2/RT:Specialized attack key OR the previous Left handed item input key

As I mentioned, I'm really a fan of this kind of input style. And now with version 6 of ABR, I don't want just menial edits. And literally want to revamp the style. Anyways this is it for now; As I mentioned, All requirements and installation are also attached to this post. Please read them all and refer to the discord for specific inquiries.

Two handed power attacking works fine with the new update, but one-handed and dagger power attacks are still vanilla, and left attack doesnt do anything other than blocking. Am I missing something??

Where do I get those hit reaction animations? I've been searching for about 4 hours now with no clear answer.

thx for your hard work man XD. Thx to that i spend months on animation their structure etc... I was using your old build abr 5.4 i guess without the AMR animation. I want to upgrade to the new abr 6.2 but i have some issues i cant fix, maybe you can help me ^^. Im using sekiro inpa and if i dont use any abr everything works. So i deactivated every behavior and animation mods then installed abr 6.2 with inpa still active. Im getting t pose and i dont know why this is happening. Ofcourse i made a clean nemesis patch

everything working smooth except 1-handed Sword in 2-handed grip from CGO is making the first right-hand (left click) attack slow / a lot slower to all the follow up animations.

I installed it as described and all seems to work fine except that the new power attacks almost doesn't do any DMG, like im hitting him without a weapon.

Idk whats happening but I can't do combos with basic attacks. I can only chain them with the new power attack input(RMB).

What I needed to do was use the preferred dual wield parry mod by SJG, and ensure that the ABR esp was loaded last and AFTER the dual wield parry mod esp. Hope this helps!

Nice work in melee battles ,but I can not use left hand to cast any spell. The input didn't switch back.

Also, can the process of changing Nemesis' priority order of patches be described (so that the guide might be followed)?

Hi. I prefer ABR's previous input system so much and I do not like Dual Wield Parry mod :( I hope you will return the previous system at future update and I use ABR 5.92 until then... Keep awesome work.

If I can’t move because I’m clinging to the enemy during an attack, then all my subsequent attacks will not move but stand in place. This is almost 100% happening when I use the right-click attack, and the probability of the left-click is slightly lower, but It also happens often.

This mod is so amazing.But sometimes when I get too close to the enemy, I usually stop moving after I attack.

Hello! I am Japanese! I don't know the folder that changes the NPC animation Can you tell me the location of the NPC animation folder if you like?

I think I may have to revert to the previous version. Having to download a dual-wield parry mod doesn't lend itself well to those of us using Gamepad++ and iEquip at the same time (what with the action keys being on the D-Pad and all). And I just experienced a crash for the first time in a VERY long time. I'm hoping it doesn't have anything to do with this mod, but the Net Script Framework crash log is pointing to NPCs and behavior files as possible culprits...

I can't do any delay attacked for some reason Also when I use greatswords after a combo my hand glitches before my character animation finishes

Hey ADRI, thanks for another awesome update. I noticed that while grip switching, I "ice skate" during some power attacks. It's not consistent between vanilla / modded animations. Do you know what causes this? Is this something that can be fixed by annotating the animations with correct motion data? Thanks for all your amazing work!

hey adri! is it possible to make grip swicthing more like dark souls. For example when grip switching, if you have a shield, itll go on your back

For some reason I can't use left handed spells now.

Got some crashes with this version unfortunately. Seems like certain npcs are having trouble with the alternate attack system, at least thats what i noticed before i crashed. They try to do the other attack, do a weird little run and then ctd.

Nice. But I think a problem with doing this is that the current dual wield parry implementations are all papyrus based and therefore not responsive enough in combat.

When I use my control I cannot use the staff or spells in the left hand, when I press the button it does not cast the spell, instead it blocks, I installed dual wield parryng and changed the lock key but in the same way it does not let me cast the spell

Yes, the specialized key, previously the exclusive left hand item key isn't fully stripped of its original function. But made to be more versatile depending on build. As a lefty, left handed animations + behaviors isn't something I'd strip of either

You linked two Dual Weild Parry mods, but only CGO is available. The second one is unavailable. Are there any mods available for those that dont want to use CGO?
