News On 0.80

Hi everyone,

phew. I finally got around to writing another News segment. I've been extraordinarily busy on several fronts these past two weeks, even more so than usual. The Steam release is getting closer too, which is giving me the heebie-jeebies to be absolutely honest. Lots of stuff to prepare for. I'm also still practicing a lot with Blender and... it's pure mindfuck. Pardon my French! This opens up many new oppertunities for Season Two though, which I'm also preparing stuff for. And besides all that, there is also the other small thing I'm working on, the thing you're actually here for: the next update.

But before we get into it, let's welcome our newest friends first. Happy to have you on board. I hope you'll stick around to see Summer's journey continue after Season One has been concluded. It's gonna be worth it, especially if you consider yourself a fan of Lilly. wink wink.

Usually I'm working exclusively on new updates with as little sidetracking as possible, except for a special render here and there. It's different this time around. As mentioned above, I'm working on several things simultaneously which forces me to split up my work schedule, which in turn means this update will take a tiny bit longer than usual. I was originally aiming for an early-access release towards end of April, when "Summer In The City" celebrates its first anniversary, but I'm pretty sure that's out of the question. It would have been so cool to connect the anniversary with a new update but I don't want to force myself finishing it before it's done. That would be detrimental to the quality of the update as well as my mental health. So yeah, I guess I'll just have to accept the fact that I won't be able to make it.

I still would like to do something special for the anniversary though. Easter is coming up too, so you can expect some fun bunny and eggs related special renders. (No worries, I can afford the eggs. I live in Europe 😁. Sorry, couldn't resist) I'm currently working on the final touches for Summer's "Mia Wallace" set in Photoshop, so you can expect that one very soon too. I will also include a new poll for who you'd like to see in the next special render set.

One more thing regarding the upcoming Steam release. I will have to get in touch with adult gaming based curators soon in order to ramp up the dreaded marketing a bit. If you have any tips on who I should contact, perhaps someone you enjoy watching or reading, please let me know. The more the better.

Well, that's it for now. I'm pretty sure I forgot quite a few things I wanted to talk about, but I also don't want to keep you away from more fun things to do any longer. You have my utmost gratitude for your support, I hope you know that. Much love!
