The web novel is the original rough draft the author writes (This is what most fans read because it is free unlike the light novel). It has a lot of material and it has a lot of fluff. They are adapting the light novel which trims off all the fat and condenses it. So they are not technically rushing anything because this is the final pace the author decided on for the series in the light novel.
