Sketchbook || Old studies

Hello guys!! How are you? First of all, welcome to the new Patrons!! Some of you joined last night and I'm super happy you're here. Thank you. So far I posted about my Patreon relaunch on my Tumblr and DeviantArt only and I'll probably do a post announcement on Instagram later today. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time, I really want to make things right and post nice content for all of you!

ANYWAYS, here's a first bunch of old studies from 2016-2018. Almost all of these sketchbook pages were never posted on my social media and only saw the daylight on some of the video tours I filmed for Youtube, I think.

Materials used:

   Moleskine Art Plus Sketchbook size A5 111lb paper (165 gr)

 ✦  Various multiliners, mostly Uni Pen and Micron 0.1/0.2/ 0,05

 ✦   Pentel pocket brush to add weight to some lines.

 ✦  Watercolors. Right now I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors but back then I used to have a Winsor & Newton 14 half pan palette, which was super nice too. I still use that if I'm traveling due to his cute handy size, but If I'm painting at home, Gansai Tambi are my top preference.

    Zig Kurecolor markers. These were the first alcohol markers I tried. They are great! I have them on gray tones.

   Copic Markers. I hope you like markers because I'm probably gonna talk a lot about alcohol markers haha. You can see that on one of the pages I was testing some new colors I got, doing swatches is really useful when painting. Some other day I'll show you the markers I own and which ones I use the most!

 🌈  Also, I little bonus! See the page with the mermaid inside the bottle? that's the original drawing with no retouches whatsoever. And this is how the final version looks:

If you follow me on IG, you probably know I tend to do this a lot! I take the sketchbook drawings I liked the most and upgrade them digitally. It's a nice way of mixing both techniques. I'll go more in depth on how I do that in a future post!

For now, I hope you liked these! ✨

Love,

Gret
