Here's a lil preview of a new illustration I finished today :)
I wanted to do a redraw of an old piece and I chose this drawing that I made back in 2014
It was inspired in a phrase I heard a looong time ago "Lo que no se nombra nunca cicatriza" which translates to something like "what's not named can't be healed" which I always thought was such a cool concept and to this day I feel it's still very relatable for me for many reasons. So yeah, here's my newest rendition !
I decided to go for a more muted color palette and try to give it a heavy textured look. I started the sketch, lineart and base colors on Procreate and then I took it to Photoshop for final details, color corrections and to add more textures. I've been enjoying a lot going back and forth between both programs heh.
I do like more the new drawing *phew* and I was surprised how much more stylized my style is now, I think the old one has a more "realistic" look with those proportions.
