Sketchbook look + new thing I learned 🐟✨

Hello my dear patrons! Hope you're doing well 🌷

I've been doodling a lot on my sketchbook and I wanted to share my little experiments with you. I hope you don't mind that I've been sharing only sketchbook pages lately, it's the only stuff I've done that's not under NDA heh.

I've been thinking a lot about art styles recently and that's why you'll see a bunch of different things, from simple plant doodles with colored pencils to my more usual stylized comic-style. I was trying to figure out what kind of things I enjoy doing the most and which supplies I'm more into now. I really want to paint something with watercolors next because I haven't used them in a while :)

Here're some tools I used for inking / coloring these. The black ones are the Kuretake brush pen and the Pentel pocket brush; the Kuretake clean color brushes are the ones I used for all the grays and shadows ! oh and the blue sketchbook is the Art creation from Talens and the black one is a Moleskine.

Also, I learned to draw freaking scales without going mad, you just need to use a freaking diamond grid and just follow those lines !!!!!!!!!!!!!!?? Probably you guys already knew this?? But it literally clicked in my mind while drawing the fishes and it just blew my mind. I've struggled with scales my whole life, never getting the hang of them or making them look nice and cohesive. This changes everything lol
