Hellooo guys! π
Hope you're doing well!
I finished a little painting today and I took some photos of the process. I was trying to repeat the same steps I did with these a while back, because it's a very simple technique but I really love how it looks !

Here're the materials I used:

1-As always, first things first: the sketch

2- Inks with a 0.1 fineliner

3- This time I used black acryla gouache instead of black ink for the BG, and I'm always blown away by how opaque acryla gouache is when it dries !! looks so nice

4- Finished inking the other page + background

5- I cut some papers to cover the figures and with some watered-down blue paint, a brush and my finger, I started splattering the black areas to create tiny stars. This can be a bit messy lol but it's fun!

6- More splattering! + remove the papers

7- Painted some subtle shadows with the gray Ecoline ink.

8- With the Kuretake white ink I painted some hair strands and erased all the blue splatters that were bothering. Also, added some highlights and used a blue posca marker to add more details and stars <3

And that's it! It's simple but effective, I think! I really like how these look.
I have more sketchbook stuff I'll share with you during these days and also some step by steps of all the illustrations I did for Mini Gallery, now that the collab is announced and I can show them !
Speaking of which, I think I'll have a little discount code for you tomorrow if you guys are interested in purchasing the prints or stickers I made for them. I'll post it here as soon as I know which one is, so wait for it !
Have a lovely rest of the week π
