2025-05-23 10:44:10 +0000 UTCSo this performance was actually a little bit of a medley - the bit André de Shields sang at the beginning used a modified version of Road to Hell which is the opening song of the show - to give a summary of events. I'd forgotten that they did the first Wait for Me rather than the reprise for this often the reprise gets used for award show performances because Eurydice sings in that as well. The band is always on stage in the actual show itself, it's one of my favourite aspects of the staging, and they are all introduced by name in the song Our Lady of the Underground which I think is just so wonderful that they all get acknowledged as part of the show like that.
