‘Ti Amo Cosi’-Dimash, Lara Fabian, Aida Garifullina

Fil on the YouTube channel Wings of Pegasus just got back to me and confirmed that my findings were correct about this performance being pre-recorded.

He will be posting a video about it later this week, but I have chosen to ONLY share this video with my PATREON members. I will not make it publicly discoverable.

The reason is, people come to me to celebrate their favorite artist and learn exciting technical things because I’m a vocal specialist. They are doing this so that they can love their favorite artist even more. People do not come to my channel to see me debunk famous performances of their favorite artists.

If I made this video public, fans of these artists would no longer be interested in coming to me for my vocal expertise around their favorite singers. That feels like a missed opportunity.

Moving forward if there is a request for me to react to something and it is clearly lip synced or heavily pitch corrected, I’ll just let Fil know and I probably will skip that reaction.

I love Dimash and Lara Fabian and I cast no judgment on them that this was pre-recorded. Many times, artists have no choice in these situations. There are many more songs I will be reacting to both of these artists provided they are not a lip synced performance.

That being said, I do feel it is important that the populous gets more of an understanding of when something is an actual real live vocal versus when it is fake. And for that reason, I am extremely grateful to Fil for his channel.

The first 15 minutes of this video, I explained my process of how I came to the place of understanding this was pre-recorded, then after the fact, I do a breakdown of the wonderful vocal techniques they were using, even though it was pre-recorded. There’s still so much to be celebrated here.

Let me know what you think, and I can’t thank you enough to those of you who helped me through deciding what the right thing to do in the situation was. This was quite a challenge for me and it took several days of thoughtful conversations and processing to come to this place.

I now feel at peace with my decision to share it this way. I’m interested to know what you all think, I hope you all have an amazing rest of your week.

I'm glad you're happy with the direction you are taking your channel I do go to Wings of Pegasus for that kind of breakdown and have for years with the understanding that is what he does therefor it It does not dull my joy . I admit I do not come to reaction channels for that kind of analysis. I was excited about your channel because my mind clicked with how you explained vocal technique of artists I love. Generally I do not have a problem with prerecorded tracks as I have no idea of what challenges created that decision as long as the voice belongs to the performer I am watching. An example of this is After Years of following both Lara and Dimash I know that if the performance is done in Russa it is pre recoreded that is the standard there. But I understand you have a direction you wish to take your channel overall that leans more towards what wings of Pegasus does and I certainly wish you nothing but success.

I'm glad you're at peace with your decision, and thank you for laying it out so well, I fully understand your decision, the biggest thing I admire about your reactions is you explain vocal techniques, so I learn from you with each video. when you demonstrate something, I try it to, so, in a way, I'm getting free music lessons from The Boss himself. That is, if I sang. :-)

I’ll check it out thanks!

Tim I know you will be doing reactions to Dimash and people will want you to react to Stranger that was done in Russia. I would recommend you react to this song when he did it in China when he returned after COVID. He was sick when he sang it and you can see him sweating and he sang it differently. So please do that one. Thanks again.

Yes, it seems to be a common practice in Russia. I’m excited to hear more of Lara! She is such a wonderful singer

Thank you Tim for your honesty and for the way you are doing this. I found out a few years ago that almost all performances in Russia were lip synced and I don't know why they do this. So I stay away from anything that was recorded in Russia unless I can't find it somewhere else but knowing it will be lip synced. Now I do know that Lara was very sick when this show was going on and that is why she only did one song.
