LET’S CELEBRATE & COMPARE ‘What is this Feeling?’-Wicked

Thought I’d share this first with you all to show my appreciation for supporting me here on Patreon. You all have no idea how much it means to me to have you all here with me.

This one was insanely requested, and was a blast to do the analysis on. Let me know what you think!

Going to be a double header today, ‘Wizard and I’ is going live on the main channel later this morning.

So much of a draw for Wicked right now, for those of you not into it, hang in there, the craze is almost over!

Not a big sleeper, but working on it!

You put a lot of work into this reaction, and it makes me wonder, do you get any sleep? While I love your reactions, I hope you are taking care of yourself.

Nice! Love that you have great headphones, Kevin.

All songs in the movie have these small differences so that’s probably why people feel that they’re more different than they are…however I will say that it’s probably mixed different in that I feel like the movie version of the songs were made with theatre sound in mind vs soundtrack (at home) sound…like with panning and such…the movie version of this song on YouTube has a couple weird spots in sound that was not present in the theatre…nor is it present in the soundtrack…it’s quite interesting how much goes into something like sound…you’d think everything would transfer 1 to 1 fine but no haha

Although I do agree that the movie and soundtrack version are the same…I do believe that the movie did use different takes for some of the parts of the song (and I feel this way about all the songs in the movie)…example in this song being the very beginning. When Ari says “yeah well my face is flushing” it’s very different in the movie vs soundtrack version. In the movie she seems more irritated and almost exasperated whereas the soundtrack is a bit calmer and just more annoyed…like she’s trying to reel-in her annoyance…

J'écoute attentivement toutes vos vidéos ces jours-ci.

Every 22 Minutes and 25 seconds. I’m just pulling your chain. I loved it. I’m biased to Kristin Chenoweth (Hysterical in West Wing final two seasons nominated for two SAGA awards, as Annabeth Schott) but my daughter is a ArianaFanatic, so we have family discourse 8-). We saw her in the first of 3 Wickeds I've seen on broadway. I’ve seen it 3 times in NY and again in the Theatre District in London. Great they gave them a Cameo. I saw the movie with my daughter a few days ago almost 20 years after I took her to NY. She adores Ariana. Kristin got my vote for the 2004 Tony Award as Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance (stole the show with "toss" "toss"). Idina Menzel win was well deserved. This movie was IMHO the first time (unlike Le Miserables) that it did justice to the musical. Your headphone comment is SPOT ON. I never listen to any music without my wired Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Professional Studio Monitor OR my Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro Over-Ear Studio Monitor. I prefer the ATs over the Open Back Beyer. That said, I listened to this recording with wireless Sony WH-1000XM5, quite adequate for REACTION vides. BTW, Nice FOCAL solicitation. Why not? I could not quite tell from the Video, but it looked like their Utopia Reference open-back High Fidelity line headphones?

Pre recorded applies to lip-synced performances. There is no video here. Did you watch it Kevin?

Tim Welch Vocal Studio

Wait, aren't these pre-recorded?
