*First watch this 👉 https://youtu.be/UH7WK__U0TM then continue on to watch the PATREON EXCLUSIVE. In the first video I share my first reaction to them as kids and in the exclusive I compare that performance to one where they did the same song as adults!

Such a fascinating deep dive.

I really enjoy reacting to so many diverse performers on the channel. So many more of your favorite artist to come over here, stay tuned!

Three hard working little girls that grew into three absolute rock goddesses!

CherylVD8

If you listen to the outro of the original Sandman and then listen to the intro of The Warning version you'll really see the clever thing they did.

richard reinhofer

There's a clip of Dany at age 13, singing solo on stage. Search their channel for "Dany Festival Canto 2013". She is born to be a star.

Lorne Belongia

the kids have a klick trick from the beging on. .Later they said "We are so off" and learned to play to a klick track AND together

Torsten Vaquet

Wow I was impressed before your analysis but now it’s appreciation on another level. Cheers

luis chin

I agree with this suggestion 100%. Their set of four acoustic versions recorded here (in a conference room in Monterrey) is fantastic. But I love Sinister Smiles most of all, especially because of Ale's falsetto.

Peter Barr-Gillespie

Their cover of The Pretender, which was recorded (audio and video) outside on a hillside in Monterrey, is ASTONISHING.

Peter Barr-Gillespie

Tim, thank you for your vocal breakdown of these two magical performances by The Warning. Your detail is helping me become a better listener to the techniques and subtle changes in their vocals. This is my first Patreon subscription ever because I am addicted to The Warning.

Still unable to 🤯😭

As a long time fan, I watched then grow in slow motion, which was certainly more gratifying, but not nearly as shocking. But every time I see a side by side of this song to their own arrangement, it's like a kick in the pants. Dani was already a little rock star at 14, and Pau was literally a pro level drummer at 12. So seeing the demons that they are on stage today, is no surprise. But Ale? Is there anything more shocking that how insanely cool Ale is on stage at 19? I mean...wow. She is just oozing with swagger. She absolutely owns whatever space she stands in.

SaltyDroog

Survive, from the Pepsi arena in Mexico City would be a great before and later comparison. You could watch their TED talks live version they did 8 or so years ago and then the Pepsi arena they did last year.

Kevin Gray

There's the studio version where Alessia Cara sings the first verse and Pau does the prayer. It also doesn't include the orchestra.

Nattygirl6 (Natalie)

Cheers, thanks Natalie!

Thanks Randy. Cheers!🥂

Hi Tim, I'm just join your patreon, I'm part of The Warning Army (TWA). I really enjoyed your reaction and your comments give me the better understanding why I love this band. They are "perfect" for me everytime when I listen their music. I'm 60 yrs old, I've listen rock since 70s, love all the great bands of rock from 60s 70s 80s but not too much in the next gens until The Warning appeared for me back in 2017. I'm a BIG fan and follower. In february I have tickets for 3 of the 5 concerts in Mexico, 2 in CDMX and 1 in Monterrey, my hometwon as well. Thanks again Tim. Larga Vida The Warning!

Luis Aguila

I can access all videos except for Enter Sandman, do you know why?

SyriusOne

I envy you and that you can hear the things you talk about and point out. Even after you point something out I can sometimes see it but not really hear it. You do help me get a better feel for the music. Thank you.

Loved your reaction and insightful comments. I was really looking forward to seeing your reaction when you realized the later one isn’t just a cover, it’s a creative remake. Their vocals and the arc they’ve given it keeps my ears wanting more!

Brad Crittenden

Awesome job on the A/B replica/creative cover analysis. I commented in your Dust to Dust/Dull Knives reaction that any live performance from The Warning would make for great reactions, but if you want to react to some other covers they’ve done, Pau did a piano cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ and Dany did a piano cover of Billie Eilish’s ‘My Future’. I don’t know if either of those would be considered creative or replica covers, but they’re both amazing. The band also did a replica cover of Foo Fighters ‘The Pretender’

Andrew

Tim, I know your mainly a vocals guy and that you are looking to get a grasp of what they can do. Let me suggest an acoustic version of one of their songs. They rock it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjd41DdRF3c&ab_channel=TheWarning Ale's falsetto will surprise you.

Randy Nelson

Totally enjoyed your analysis Tim. I promise you that any live song you review by The Warning, you will enjoy. They never miss live. 4 albums worth of original songs and not one skip song. They are really dedicated to making each song as good as it can be and not adding anything it doesn’t need. That’s why you don’t see any added crazy guitar solos or unneeded drum fills, even though Pau was Drumeos rock drummer of the year in 2023. For Vocals, you may like to react to a live version of “Choke” or “Hell you call a Dream” from the Pepsi center, but their older stuff from the Queen of the Murder Scene album such at “Crimson Queen” or “Ugh” is very cool vocally as well. Love your breakdowns. Keep it up.

Dusty

Not going to lie... I joined patreon just to see how the A/B thing went. In my head I'm thinking, "I don't think he knows they re-orchestrated the entire song".

Jeff Jordan

Great breakdown, Dany is such an amazing Vocalist and just keeps getting better. Same with her Sisters. I would love to hear your reaction to Hell You Call A Dream live (Pepsi Center) such an amazing song showcasing all of their Skills. But Dany Vocals are taken to an amazing level. I think The Warning fans would really enjoy seeing and hearing what you think...

Russell griffin

I think Dany did take vocal lessons as they started to become more widely known. She used to force her voice at times several years ago, but as she has gotten older, both her confidence and range have improved. She loves to sing, and sometimes gives impromptu acoustic or a capella performances on their Patreon channel, at midnight from their home, singing everything from pop to rock to broadway tunes. Enjoyed your breakdown!

Andrew Auerbach

Great reaction Tim and can't wait to see you do more of them. An easy way to remember their ages is just Dany is what year it is, then subtract 2 for Pau and 3 more for Ale. Dany and Pau were born in Jan and Feb, and Ale in late Dec in 00, 02, and 04, so other than a few weeks at the end and beginning of a year that works. Their first 2 albums, both amazing, were released in '17 and '18. Just think about that. The D2D/DK songs you reacted to were on the 2018 album, and probably written in the year or two before the album got released. It always blows my mind that teens/preteens wrote songs that good.

Jay G

Nice Reaction. For Metallica's 30th anniversary of the black album their assignment was to bend it, shape it and turn it on it's head, but keep the original lyrics. oh, and they only had a week to rearrange it, record it and shoot a video. Oh, Goosebumps! Over on The Warning's discord we'll tag a reactor's video with a goose emoji if they say they got goosebumps for any part of a video. Yes, the list is long. It's an extremely rewarding rabbit hole to fall into.

Jim Kiley

Hey Tim. I'll admit, I came here for the extended The Warning reactions. I want to point out, since no one else has, that the ladies, along with Alessia, created this rendition, rehearsed it (via Zoom during Covid, I think)، and recorded it in 10 days! This has gone through 2 revisions since then, including this one with string accompanyment. They are only in their 20's after 10+ years. What will happen in the next 10?

Jonathan Spahn

New member here.....OG The Warning fan! Great reaction to one of the truly innovative songs to come along in a long time! We in the Army often refer to the harmonies, as the fourth member of the band........it's the secret sauce to their soaring sound! Looking forward to more!

Warren Schulze

Great decision on the fly to not compare anymore. It made me smile you had no idea they did their own version of Enter Sandman. Made this reaction totally worth it. Keep it up!

Tatsuono

Great analysis, Tim. You're teaching me new things about my favorite band after I've thought I've heard it all! Almost like hearing them for the first time! So glad I joined! Can't wait for more Warning! Thanks!

Matthew Scebbi

Hey Tim... loved your reaction. The Warning understood the assignment with this one. When they were invited to participate in the Black List album by Metallica, they were told to reimagine the song and make it their own. 5 other artists did this same song and it was The Warning version that got picked to be featured in the standard album release. Also, don't ever hold back on your enthusiasm for these ladies, or anyone for that matter. It's what makes you a genuine reactor and us Warning fans can all relate and remember back how it was for us personally to hear that song for the first time.

Nattygirl6 (Natalie)

It was one of the best live experiences I have had in 45+ years of concert-going. Flying down to Mexico in 10 days for 4 shows my The Warning in February. I think this is going to be an epic start to their 2025 touring calendar.

PhilT (Yeni)

Great breakdown, Tim. This creative cover version was on Metallica's Blacklist album. They had a week to put it together and record it with Alessia Cara on lead vocals.

Robert Anderson

This is a variation on the version they created for the Metallica Blacklist 30th anniversary album. They arranged, recorded and mixed the whole thing in a week working remotely with Alessia Cara (during covid). On your own you should check out the music video they did. The harmonies in the music video are awesome and there are some differences in the vocal arrangement (plus no strings in that one).

paul rowe

AHHH!!! Phil that’s amazing. So jealous, I bet the energy was insane!

Hey THE WARNING fans who are new to my PATREON, here’s my other exclusive THE WARNING breakdown to Dust to Dust. There’s also a first impression on YT of it too. https://www.patreon.com/posts/119858718?utm_campaign=postshare_creator

Great reaction Tim. The performance at Pepsi Center (with an all-female 10 piece string section) was so good. I was fortunate to be at that show with 8000 of my newest friends. Great to do teh compare and contrast with the cover that put them on people's radar.
