TODAY! 1st LIVESTREAM LISTENING PARTY @2pm EST

Hi everyone, I just wanted to invite you to my FIRST EVER listening party on Twitch later today at 2pm.

I will be on for about an hour listening to whatever is recommended, along with receiving song reaction ideas.

I hope you can make it! If this seems like something fun for us to do, I will consider doing it with a regularly scheduled frequency.

HERE’S THE LINK! If you want to comment, I believe you will need to create a free twitch account first which is no big deal at all.

Cheers!

Also, for twitch, for collecting the songs for you to view in a freeforall show, I'd suggest just picking someone you trust who knows they can be there at the specific time to do the task. These folks can also form the core of your moderation staff in the future if you continue to expand and see larger chats (Things get really bubbly when you have 500+ people in chat) For the specific artist streams I'd suggest directly tapping the biggest fans of the artist chosen by getting in touch personally on here and telling them what you wanted. For example if you wanted to do a Chappell stream, I could provide you with a Live formal piece, one of her soundcheck covers, an unreleased demo, a festival performance, a formal video she has done, and a piece from her early cursive School Days period. Which would set you up pretty well, and still leave room for a few other requests if they appear. You could do the same with The Warning, Red and others and you certainly have folks that could give you stuff from them as well as I can for Chappell. I think the Twitch format will work out well for you.

Not a problem, in almost 60 years of life less then 5% of people get it right on the first try without hearing me say it. So it doesn't bother me a bit, and you got the most popular error version :) Glad that you liked Chappell's Elvis cover. The history on the dozen or so cover pieces out there are that she started to do them as sound checks for her shows in '23 and '24 for the VIP audience members and follow them with a short Q&A also. She often took the requests live there at the soundcheck and would do the song with ZERO foreknowledge just reading it off her phone for lyrics. She usually was pretty tentative and straight down the middle but often as she gained confidence she'd start to cook. But in the case of this Elvis piece she'd done it once on her Instagram, and partially at an earlier sound check. So this was her second full time thru it. It realy highlights her instinctive pitch and tone skill in my opinion that she can rip these covers with so little prep so well. I'll also stress that I think you should film a formal Chappell acceptance speech reaction and incorporate the info that has happened since (The hack piece in the Hollywood reporter that she handled so well, and the growing momentum) and include your own thoughts as you did in the live stream. I really think your concept of Artistic integrity is fundamental in your channels presentation and this is a good example of a non musical aspect that could support that. The wider range of stuff you have on your YT channel the more that people will come to you for commentary on artists FIRST. By discussing WHY you feel a subject is a true Artist because of how they ARE, rather than just how they sing, you'll anneal fanbases for that artist to you very strongly. If you get a few Alpha fans from a few groups with you, they can and will drive more towards your channels by cross posting to their artists specific groups. I've gotten traction for a few of your Chappell vids that way. Some of these groups have thousands of fans that were motivated enough to follow them for news and commentary and tapping that energy can make a huge difference in your own growth. Social media is massively powerful now unlike at any other time in musical history. For example, of late Gaga has turbocharged her social media by personally replying to fan posts on Twitter, Insta and Tic-Tok saying that she was impressed or approved of a fan project (artwork, dance routines, clothing design, and others) and the effect is massive. The fan is anointed by the goddess and is raised in the community by miles. Gaga is seen as involved and 'always watching'. And so forth. And it pulls the fans even closer. Her decision to not copyright strike Disease is a direct gift from her to your reviewer community. It will remain monetized for you. Anyhow, another tome. :) The livestream was quite successful in my opinion. ~J

Where are you?

Sorry about mispronouncing your name! 🙈🙏🏼

Didn't make it to the first Twitch, will try to make it to the next one. As an information, Reol, the Japanese singer you listened to, is also a songwriter, composer, poet and also a multi-instrumentalist. She is in the top ten in J-pop.

Oleg Kaminsky

I'll be at work, but things are flexible enough that I can be there. I'll look forward to it.

Jevon Kasitch

I'll be there if I get everything right in signing on to Twitch for the first time.

Gaye McCullough

I just might. 8 PM my time.

Hans Reese

Darn! I will miss this because it will be 2 am my time
